A look into The Vampire Diaries Season 6, Episode 6, “The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get” airing tonight on the CW at 8/7c.
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is back in present day Mystic Falls, VA. Bonnie (Kat Graham) once again scarified herself, this time to ensure that Damon made it home to Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Stefan (Paul Wesley). Being a Bonnie stan I’m all kinds of concerned for her, because who knows what Kai (Chris Wood) will do to Bonnie after she ensured Damon made it back sans him. It appears we will need to wait until season 6, episode 7, “Do You Remember the First Time?” to find out.
For season 6, episode 6, “The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get” my mind is focused on two things, BAMON and who the frick-frak is Dr. Jo Laughlin (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe)? I know many are wondering what Bamon goodness can we get with Damon in present day Mystic Falls and Bonnie in alternate universe 1994 Mystic Falls, but according the below scene so much:
This scene is making me feel all kinds of things, but this is a sneak peek into the episode not a review. So moving on. According to the below episode synopsis we might get some insight into to who Jo is.
Alaric realizes Jo can’t be compelled, so he asks Elena to dig into her background. Meanwhile, Caroline learns Enzo has been captured by Tripp and tries to rescue him; Jeremy hits rock bottom and lashes out in a destructive way; and Damon takes matters into his own hands when he receives some upsetting news. I believe Jo is a witch and is the sister that Kai spared by only removing her spleen as he was killing off the rest of his siblings, but time will tell. In “The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get,” we will also find out what Tripp (Colin Ferguson) has been doing with Enzo (Michael Malarkey). The below sneak peek scene between Matt (Zach Roerig) and Enzo we get to see Enzo bring out his cunning side that many of us fell for when we first met him in season 5.
According to below producers preview, The Vampire Diaries Executive Producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries detail a few of the things that will occur in the episode; Damon and his quest to reunite with Elena and the Scooby Doo gang figuring out a way to break Enzo out of Tripp’s prison.
I’m excited for The Vampire Diaries season 6, episode 6, “The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get” even though Bonnie won’t be in the episode. Check out the trailer again to get ready for the episode airing tonight at 8/7c on the CW.
