A look at the Furious 7 trailer released this month.
On Saturday, November 1, 2014 Universal Studios released the trailer for Furious 7, the seventh movie in the Fast & Furious franchise. This world premiere event was live-streamed on E! Online. The trailer begins with a couple seconds of funny before non-stop action occurs for the next 2 minutes. Cars are parachuting out of planes, Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) runs across the side of a bus as it begins to slide off the side of a cliff, Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) with the sheer strength of his muscles busts out of cast, we get a pipe wielding Dominic Torretto (Vin Diesel), and newcomer Nathalie Emmanuel of Game of Thrones fame joins in the fun as she portrays Ramsey. Check out the brilliance below.
Furious 7 where “Vengeance Hits Home” will take the crew up against new bad guy Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), the brother of Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) the criminal mastermind they defeated in Fast & Furious 6. The film will include veteran actor Kurt Russell and Lucas Black will reprise his The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift role of Sean Boswell. Furious 7 will be directed by James Wan.
I’m a major fan of the Fast & Furious franchise and my heart broke for the family and friends of Paul Walker when he died along with Roger Rodas in a car crash on November 30, 2013. Paul wan’t finished filming his scenes for Furious 7 at his passing, so his brothers Caleb and Cody Walker courageously stepped in to help complete his portion of the film. From the trailer and based on the interviews with Paul’s cast mates I feel that Furious 7 will leave Paul’s legacy in a wonderful place within the franchise.
Furious 7 hits theaters and IMAX on April 3, 2015. Will you be seeing the film? And what’s your favorite film in the franchise? Discuss in the comments.
