Get a sneak peek into the new NBC show State of Affairs which premieres tonight at 10/9c.
Golden Globe nominee and Screen Actors Guild Awards winner Katherine Heigl and Academy Award and Grammy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Alfre Woodward are back on TV and I’m beyond excited. The State of Affairs pilot is set to have its series premiere tonight, Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10/9c on NBC.
State of Affairs also stars Adam Kaufman as Lucas Newsome, Sheila Vand as Maureen James, Cliff Chamberlain as Kurt Tannen, Tommy Savas as Dashiell Greer, and David Harbour as David Patrick. In the pilot, which also guest stars Chris L. McKenna, Ramsey Faragallah, and Derek Ray:
CIA Analyst Charleston Tucker (Katherine Heigl) still can’t remember what really happens a year ago when the diplomatic convoy she was on was attacked in Kabul. While she and then-Senator Payton (Alfre Woodard) barely made it out alive, Charlie’s fiancé, Payton’s son Aaron (guest star Mark Tallman), wasn’t so lucky. Today is the one-year anniversary of Aaron’s death; Payton is president, Charlie is her CIA briefer and together they’re faced with a choice – try and avenge Aaron’s death by going after Fatah (guest star Farshad Farahat), the terrorist responsible for the convoy attack, or hold off in favor of taking down his entire network in the future. Based on the promo I fully believe I going to love State of Affairs. Then you add in a world where a Black woman is President, THAT got my attention on lock! Plus, I’ve read the show has a previous CIA Analyst who actually provided the President Daily Briefings to two US Presidents advising on the show, so one can hope the accuracy will be spot on.
In the five below videos you will be to see the promo for State of Affairs, get a first look at the new NBC show, meet the team that CIA Analyst Charleston Tucker (Heigl) heads up, and get two sneak peeks into the premiere episode.
