For Day 1 of “Outlander Offerings” STARZ gives us a sneak peek of the upcoming second part of Outlander‘s first season
We’re definitely much closer to April 4, 2015 than we were when Outlander‘s mid-season finale episode aired on September 27, 2014. Still, 4 months can seem pretty far away, especially given the way we left our favorite characters: Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) has Claire (Caitriona Balfe) hostage and prostrate on a table, Jamie (Sam Heughan) has just burst in prepared to do battle to save Claire, and, of course, Black Jack is overjoyed to be reunited with Jamie and is cackling like a lunatic in the background.
But STARZ has been pretty awesome during the drought. Last month, they launched “4 Droughtlander,” and every fourth day of the month until the season 1B premiere, we’ll get exclusive extras from the show. We began with an extended clip from episode 2, “Castle Leoch” featuring Claire and Rupert (Grant O’Rourke). Since we got this clip, I know we’ve been counting down to December 4 for the next “4 Droughtlander” goodie. But Sassenachs, STARZ has something even better in store for us! Today, they announced the start of “Outlander Offerings”:
#Outlanders, we’re spreading holiday cheer with 25 days of #OutlanderOfferings. Check back daily for exclusive content to enjoy.

According to Outlander‘s official Facebook page, each day on Twitter (and select days on Facebook), they’ll release exclusive content for us to enjoy. This is a fantastic way to kick off the Christmas holiday season, while helping to keep our cravings at bay. For our first “Outlander Offering” treat, we got this teaser of the second part of season one!
*SPOILER ALERT*
In the video, we can see images of Claire bound and being led by an angry mob–presumably after she and Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) have been accused of witchcraft. We also see Colum (Gary Lewis) and Dougal (Graham McTavish) having a conversation, which ends with Colum saying “One day brother, you’ll talk your head off your shoulders. Pray God they are big.” And towards the end, Claire says (mostly likely to Jamie) that she never counted on loving him. Even though we don’t hear from Jamie, himself, we get several glimpses of him on horseback and sword fighting. Check it out below:
*EXCITE* If you’ve read the book, you know that there are some pretty emotional times ahead for our Jamie and Claire, and it seems that the TV show will be following the same trajectory. What do you think of the teaser trailer?
Make sure to come back tomorrow for Day 2 of “Outlander Offerings”!
