Preview The Originals season 2, episode 11 “Brotherhood of the Damned” with video sneak peeks. The new episode airs January 26 at 8:00pm ET|PT on the CW.
Last week’s mid-season premiere of The Originals was nothing short of the supernatural drama and mystery we’ve come to expect! As we returned to the story, both Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) returned to New Orleans, determined to make the city safe for Baby Hope. This meant Klaus figuring out a way to neutralize Vincent/Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) and Hayley going through with her marriage to Jackson (Nathan Parsons) in order to free the wolves from the witches. Well, it seemed that Vincent/Finn was one step ahead of them. Apparently, he’d formed an alliance with Mikael (Sebastian Roche) and was channelling his power (and later Lenore/Esther–Sonja Sohn) in order to keep the vampires and wolves locked in the Mikaelson compound and then ramp up the vampires’ thirst—not a good combination!
In the midst of this, Hayley confessed to Jackson about being with Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus and Elijah discovered that Kaleb/Kol (Daniel Sharman) deceived them about the location of Rebekah’s consciousness. By the end of the episode, Kaleb/Kol, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), and the vampires were still trapped in the compound (though Klaus and the wolves were freed) and Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) had made a new ghost friend at the asylum—her older sister, Freya.
I came away from last week’s episode being even more Team Haylijah. I think Jackson is a great guy and I know he really cares for Hayley, but she and Elijah incandescent together. Elijah still has a lot to work though as a result of Lenore/Esther’s captivity, but I think Cami (Leah Pipes) will be able to help him. I also really liked this new actress playing Rebekah! Of course Claire Holt is amazing, but Maisie totally captured Rebekah’s sass and fearlessness. Finally, if ghost Freya is in the asylum, where in the world is Dahlia?!
In tonight’s episode “Brotherhood of the Damned”:
Vincent creates an elaborate spell to trap his brothers Klaus and Elijah. Meanwhile, Davina teams with the Originals to help Kaleb; Marcel tries to calm his volatile pack of suffering vampires and recalls his days as a soldier during WWI; and Hayley and Jackson learn they must participate in some unconventional and dangerous rituals prior to their wedding. In the video below, producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci give us a preview of the upcoming show. This week, we’ll get to learn more about Marcel and the development of his leadership qualities—both in the present as he tries to keep up the vampires’ morale AND in the past during his time as a soldier in World War I. Vincent/Finn also plans some family time for himself, Klaus, Elijah, and Kol:

I remember last season we saw Klaus welcoming Marcel back from fighting in World War I, but I’m so excited that we’ll get to hear more about it. With that said, I’m also nervous, especially after this ominous tweet Michael shared a few days ago:
Enjoy the weekend. You don’t know it yet, but Monday’s episode of #TheOriginals is going to destroy you. pic.twitter.com/AWBPTqERq3 — Michael Narducci (@MichaelNarducci) January 24, 2015
YIKES! What do you think this means?
Take a look at this sneak peek from tonight’s show, with Klaus and Davina (Danielle Campbell) trying to figure out a way to stop Vincent/Finn, and make sure to tune into The CW at 8:00pm ET|PT for “Brotherhood of the Damned”. I’ll be live tweeting, so come join in while we watch!
