The Pied Piper is coming to Central City. Get your sneak peek into The Flash, “The Sound and the Fury” airing tonight on The CW at 8 PM (ET/PT).
Last week The Flash came back from winter hiatus with season 1, episode 10, “Revenge of the Rogues” that guest starred Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold Dominic Purcell as Rory/Heat Wave. These two Prison Break alums added even more drama to Barry Allen/The Flash’s (Grant Gustin) life. First, Barry was trying to muster the speed needed to prepare for Reverse Flash’s return. He called up Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes), and Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) his S.T.A.R. Labs crew to help him. During the training Dr. Wells almost let it slip that he wasn’t paralyzed when he almost popped out of his wheelchair in anticipation. And then Barry had to deal with Iris West (Candice Patton) moving in with Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett). It was emotional to watch, but in the end Iris and Barry seemed to be back on the path to being besties. Just as important as WestAllen’s relationship, Barry and Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) are living together again and The Flash defeated Captain Cold and Heat Wave. However, don’t count out the rogues just yet since they were rescued by Captain Cold’s sister.
Tonight on The Flash, “The Sound and the Fury” Smash alum Andy Mientus guest stars as Hartley Rathaway/Pied Piper, Gracepoint alum Tom Butler as Eric Larkin, and One Life to Live alum Roger Howarth as Mason Bridge. In the official synopsis from The CW it states, Dr. Wells’ former protégée, Hartley Rathaway, returns to seek revenge on his mentor after being affected by the particle accelerator explosion. Now able to manipulate sound waves, the brilliant Rathaway is a dangerous threat to both Wells and The Flash. Meanwhile, Iris is thrilled when she’s hired by the Central City Picture News as their newest cub reporter. Unfortunately, her editor Eric Larkin pairs her with a veteran reporter, Mason Bridge, who wants nothing to do with her. Cisco recalls his first day on the job at S.T.A.R. Labs when he met Hartley and Caitlin. Joe asks Eddie for a favor but asks him to keep it a secret from Barry. John Showalter directed the episode written by Alison Schapker and Brooke Eikmier.
