Yesterday, fans unlocked the latest Insurgent trailer “Fight Back.” Also, to celebrate ‘Divergent Fandom Day’ Lionsgate shared 15 new character stills from the Insurgent film and the first official TV spot. The Divergent Series: Insurgent will be released on March 20, 2015.
With about five weeks until the theatrical release of The Divergent Series: Insurgent, we Initiates can look forward to even more sneak peeks and teasers from the film!
This past week has been a particularly exciting one for us. Yesterday, Divergent fans were able to unlock a new Insurgent trailer by tweeting and sharing our love of #MoreFOUR. The trailer “Fight Back” (which you can watch below) begins with Jeanine (Kate Winslet) talking about the importance of protecting the faction-ed society from divergents. We get clips of Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) on the run, Eric (Jai Courtney) hunting them down in Amity, Four urging the the remaining Dauntless to fight back, and more:
*SHIVERS* my favorite part is when Caleb (Ansel Elgort) is telling Tris that she’s the key to saving their civilization. What about yours?
This past Sunday (February 8), the very first official Insurgent TV spot (“I’m Not Afraid”) also aired during the Grammy Awards on CBS The Walking Dead mid-season premiere on AMC. In case you haven’t seen it yet, check out the video below. We get a glimpse of several new scenes including Jeanine giving the orders to track down Tris, Four, and Caleb and several FOURTRIS moments (hugs, conversations, tag-team fighting):
And last Thursday (February 5) Lionsgate/Summit helped us to celebrate “Divergent Fandom Day” by releasing a new, exclusive character still from the Insurgent film every half-hour between 10am PT and 5pm PT. All together, we got 15 (FIFTEEN!!!) new stills including our first look at Naomi Watts as Evelyn Eaton (Four’s mom), Octavia Spencer as Johanna Reyes (Amity spokesperson), Daniel Dae Kim as Jack Kang (Candor leader), and more.
The next day, the official Divergent Series Movie account shared three more stills of Tris, Four, and Jeanine. Check them all out below, and many thanks to our fellow fansites for sharing the love!
Every time I see something new from Insurgent, I’m so impressed by how EPIC the film is—the fight scenes, stunts, special effects, and acting reach a new level of awesome. March 20 can’t get here soon enough!
