With TWO EPISODES left in the series, will Emily/Amanda be able to prove she didn’t kill Victoria? Watch a sneak peek of tonight’s Revenge “Plea”, airing at 10:01pm ET|PT on ABC.
Last week’s Revenge “Aftermath” began with Emily/Amanda (Emily VanCamp) sifting through the wreckage of her home. As far as she knew the house was empty when the explosion happened…until investigators arrived the next morning and found a body, which they were able to confirm was Victoria (Madeleine Stowe, via dental records). Margaux (Karine Vanasse) and Louise (Elena Satine) had further confirmation in a suicide note from Victoria—she had lost the will to fight the scandal brought upon her by Emily’s interview. Ending her life was the only way out. Of course, Margaux and Louise were livid and placed the full blame of Victoria’s actions at Emily’s doorstep. Furthermore, there evidence of foul play. At Victoria’s apartment they found blood and a door that was forced open. The next day, they both went to the police and Louise publicly confronted Emily and accused her of the murder.
In LA, Jack (Nick Wechsler) and Stevie (Gail O’Grady) found out about the Grayson Manor explosion and Victoria’s death. Jack was shocked and reached out to Nolan (Gabriel Mann) to confirm that Emily wasn’t somehow involved. It was clear that he was still very concerned about Emily/Amanda, even if he claimed to be done with the Hamptons.
A world without Victoria Grayson could now be revenge free. However, Emily/Amanda still had to deal with Mason Treadwell’s (Roger Bart) return. He was angry that she hadn’t given him the exclusive on her identity reveal. In exchange for his continued silence, Mason wanted to be cleared of killing Gordon Murphy so he could come out of hiding. They met briefly in her car and he issued his threat: Emily/Amanda had two days to clear his name or else he’d contact the police. She and Nolan were able to create documentation saying Conrad killed Gordon and framed Mason.
The police called David (James Tupper) and Emily down to the station to question them and when they arrived, it was clear that Ben (Brian Hallisay) was incredibly suspicious. He’d seen the way Emily and company could create a cover-up. She admitted that she had been with Mason Treadwell (a man who the world believed died in prison), but when she tried to call him, the line was disconnected. Emily agreed to leave her car in police custody so they could dust for Mason’s fingerprints as confirmation.
When leaving, Emily ran into Jack, who had come back to town to be questioned by the police. She wanted to talk with him, but he was determined to head back to LA. Emily also overheard a conversation confirming that David was at the hospital the previous night…the secret of his cancer was now out of the bag! She confronted her dad, who apologized, and they promised to get through things together.
In other developments, Nolan and his man-friend Tony (Josh Pence) were doing well—sleepovers, breakfast in bed, shared vacations 🙂 Nolan was clearly smitten, but when Tony found out he would be able to adopt a baby, he wanted to focus on being a father. This meant he couldn’t be in a romantic relationship. Nolan was devastated.
By the end of the show, Mason had revealed his true intentions. He passed on a video from Victoria confirming that she’d killed herself with the intention of framing Emily. Furthermore, while in Emily’s car, Mason had planted Victoria’s blood and hair, which the police then found. Ben arrived and arrested Emily/Amanda, yet all the while she proclaimed her innocence (“That bitch set me up! I’m innocent!”).
In tonight’s episode “Plea” written by Alex Taub, directed by J. Miller Tobin, and guest-starring Christa B. Allen as Charlotte Clarke and Courtney Love as White Gold:
EMILY FIGHTS FRIEND AND FOE TO DISCOVER THE TRUTH ABOUT VICTORIA—Emily enlists Nolan and Jack to help prove her innocence while Ben takes measures to keep her locked up. (via ABC)
Now that we know this is Revenge‘s final season, we have to wonder whether there will be an HEA in store for Emily/Amanda. I mean, there are only two episodes left in the show…
Take a look at this sneak peek from the upcoming show. Emily/Amanda is being held in jail and David has come to see her. She’s convinced that Victoria was somehow able to fake her death to frame Emily:
WHOA, poor David! Is this a reaction to the chemo or the cancer itself? Either way, it’s distressing. I’m not at all surprised to hear that Margaux could know more about what’s going on, but how in the world does Emily/Amanda plan to get to her?! With that said, I do agree that we *have* to find Mason Treadwell. What do you think of this all?
