Disney will release an animated shorts collection, which includes Frozen Fever, Tangled Ever After, and 10 other short films. The Walt Disney Animated Shorts Collection will be available on Digital HD August 11 and Blu-ray August 18.
Disney has always been well known for it’s animated short films. From the very beginning with Mickey Mouse and Steamboat Willie (1928), Walt Disney Animation has used shorts to push technological innovation in the field and bring fans compelling stories in new ways.
Most recently, Disney debuted Frozen Fever, which played ahead of their live-action Cinderella film back in March. We got to celebrate Anna’s birthday and go on a mini-adventure with Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf as they prepared for a surprise party. Even though Disney has announced a full-length Frozen sequel, it was still nice to spend a little time with our faves from Arendelle!
Soon we’ll be able to bring Frozen Fever home! Yesterday, Walt Disney Animation Studios announced that they would be releasing a Short Films Collection. In addition to Frozen Fever, 11 other shorts are included, along with Tangled Ever After and Academy Award winning Paperman (2012) and Feast (2014).
The Walt Disney Animated Shorts Collection will be available on Digital HD/Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) August 11, 2015 and on Blu-ray August 18, 2015. Take a look at the trailer:
