Steven Moffat gave SHERLOCK fans a first look at the upcoming Victorian special during the show’s SDCC 2015 panel. Find out what we know so far, including exclusive photos and video previews from the panel.
Earlier today, Executive Producers Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue, along with Inspector Lestrade himself, Rupert Graves, attended their San Diego Comic-Con panel to talk all things SHERLOCK! The panel kicked off with a special welcome video featuring Andrew Scott, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Mark Gatiss. The surprises continued when the panel gave Ballroom 20 an exclusive first look at the upcoming Series 4 SHERLOCK special, which takes place in Victorian-era London. You can watch both clips below:
*EXCITE* While Moffat wasn’t able to give many specifics, we did learn that the SHERLOCK special would not only be broadcast on television, but also in select theaters worldwide…details coming soon-ish 😉

Other highlights: Moffat confirmed that writing for Series 4 episodes hasn’t begun, but promised “emotional devastation” (*WEEPING*); when asked about a possible Sherlock/Irene Adler reunion, Moffat said he didn’t know, but teased that he’d written the scene for himself (Irene ended up stealing Sherlock’s clothes); Moffat discussed fixing continuity issues in the original Doyle stories; finally, Moffat discussed the Dr. Who/SHERLOCK crossover he filmed years ago with his sister (though it seemed that an actual WHOLOCK episode wasn’t totally outside the realm of possibility).
Thanks to Flicks and the City, you can watch the full panel; we also have 10+ photos from the event! Check them out below and make sure to share your thoughts about all the upcoming SHERLOCK goodness in comments:
