Television icon John Stamos returns to TV in new comedy series GRANDFATHERED starting Tuesday at 8/7c on FOX!
FOX, creator Daniel Chun, and executive producers Chris Koch and Dan Fogelman bring us GRANDFATHERED, a new single-camera comedy that will surely warm the hearts of its viewers with a diverse line-up of actors, to tell the story of Jimmy Martino (John Stamos). Jimmy, the man everyone would love to be and date, whose glamorous life is turned upside with the simple news that he is not only a father, but a grandfather.
In the GRANDFATHERED pilot, we meet Jimmy (John Stamos), a successful restaurateur with a grand lifestyle like no other. For Jimmy his world revolves around him, then twenty-something Gerald (Josh Peck) casually walks into his restaurant to announce he’s Jimmy’s son, with former flame Sara Kingsley (Paget Brewster). This news would be enough to cause heart palpitations, but Gerald has more to share, he’s the father to adorable toddler Edie (Layla and Emelia Golfieri). Jimmy has a decision to make: accept Gerald and Edie into his life, or continue as if these individuals do not exist. Lucky for us, Jimmy opens his world and later his heart to Gerald and Edie, and the audience is blessed with pure comedic genius, with a high dosage of hilarity in the form of GRANDFATHERED.
Get a glimpse of how GRANDFATHERED will put a smile to your face with the official trailer for the premiere episode GRANDFATHERED which starts Tuesday 8/7c on FOX!
Oh, the cuteness, right?! I was given the opportunity to see the pilot at a screening during BlogHer ’15, and I immediately fell in love. Having television icon John Stamos return to TV is a level of greatness on its own, but to see him apart of such a diverse cast that includes Josh Peck (Drake and Josh, The Mindy Project), Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds, Community), Kelly Jenrette (Frisky Dingo, Audrey), Ravi Patel (Super Fun Night, Master of None), Christina Milian (Family Guy, Baggage Claim), and newcomer toddler cuties Layla and Emelia Golfieri is a treat.
When viewing the GRANDFATHERED pilot, questions began to form in my mind: can Jimmy become a better man who could put others before himself and maybe along the way rekindle his relationship with Sara? Who is harder to handle for the crew: Jimmy or Edie? Is there a future for Gerald and Vanessa (Christina Milian) outside of being friends and co-parents to Edie? During the season will I get to see into the lives of assistant manager Annelise (Kelly Jenrette) and chef Ravi (Ravi Patel)? I need to know and I’m excited to see what happens. I hope you all will join us in watching the upcoming season of GRANDFATHERED on FOX. I am sure you will enjoy John Stamos and crew as much as I have so far.
