This week on iZombie we find out what happens when Liv consumes the brain of a Seattle housewife. Read on for a sneak peek of iZombie “Real Dead Housewife of Seattle” airing on Tuesday, October 20th on The CW.
On last week’s episode “Zombie Bro”, we finally saw Liv (Rose McIver) have fun and party after consuming frat bro brains. Meanwhile, Major’s (Robert Buckley) woes continued as he struggled to forget about recent events. Needles to say, iZombie’s main characters were all quite busy during this episode.
In “Zombie Bro”, Liv adopted the personality of frat bro Chad Wolkoff, who was murdered at a fraternity party by someone wearing a blue furry costume. Turns out the guy in the blue furry costume was avenging his father’s death in a drunk driving incident. However, there were two Chad Wolkoff’s on campus and the wrong one was murdered in a case of mistaken identity.
During this episode we also found out that Blaine (David Anders) gets his entrepreneurial spirit from daddy Angus DeBeers (guest star Robert Knepper). Granted, Blaine may have also picked up a skill or two at The Wharton School before he dropped out. Angus DeBeers is disappointed in Blaine for several reasons: he dropped out of business school and made him a zombie. Yes, Blaine turned his own father into a zombie and now charges him $25k a month for his brain meals. Blaine and Angus clearly have a tumultuous and adversarial relationship. It will be interesting to see what role, if any, Angus will play in Blaine’s brain and Utopium trafficking businesses.
And speaking of Utopium, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) believes that he stands a better chance of recreating the Utopium based Zombie cure, if he has an understanding of how Utopium makes users feel. So Ravi, in his infinite wisdom, thought it would be a good idea for him to hit the club and buy Utopium from a shady club drug dealer. Major joined him in ‘testing’ Utopium and the two turned into two hardcore club goers. Ravi seemingly had a great time while he was high and even danced on stage with his shirt off! Unfortunately for Major, he enjoyed taking Utopium a little bit too much and by the end of the episode, was seen alone in his bedroom using Utopium and refusing to see Liv, who was right outside his door.
This week’s episode, “Real Dead Housewife of Seattle”, will continue the laughs as Liv goes from Zombie bro to a rich, spoiled housewife. In what appears to be a spoof of those reality shows we’re all too familiar with, Liv becomes super fashionable and super, ahem, bitchy. Here is the official episode synopsis provided by The CW, followed by an inside look at the episode:
ALY MICHALKA (“HELLCATS”) GUEST STARS — Liv (Rose McIver) eats the brains of a recently murdered trophy wife who was pushed to her death from the balcony of her stunning architectural home in the hills by a hired hit man. A Pinot Grigio-sipping, suddenly fashion obsessed Liv and Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) begin questioning suspects in their search for the original brains behind this murder. Meanwhile, Liv and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) are surprised to learn that Peyton (guest star Aly Michalka) has returned to Seattle. Robert Buckley and David Anders also star. Jason Bloom directed the episode written by Kit Boss.
