Is Emma willing to do whatever it takes to stop Dark Hook and the other Dark Ones? Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Once Upon a Time Winter Finale, airing at 8:00pm ET|PT on ABC.
Oncers, I don’t know about you, but every time I think about last week’s Once Upon a Time (“Broken Heart”), I feel so many things, mostly shock, fear, and desperation. Who knew Killian would take so strongly to being a Dark One?! But ultimately, it’s his insatiable lust for revenge against Rumple that drives him to do some terrible things—like killing Merlin and resurrecting all the Dark Ones from the Underworld.
Even though Dark Emma’s heart is in the right place, her plan (in both past and present) to free herself and Killian of the darkness backfires. Finally Emma realizes she has to rely on family and friends for help, but is it too late?
Tonight’s Winter Finale episode (“Swan Song”) was written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton. Guest-star Caroline Ford will be returning as Nimue and we’ll also get a chance to meet Killian’s father, Brennan (guest-star Adam Croasdell).
Check out the full synopsis below:
THE DARK ONES PREPARE TO OBLITERATE LIGHT MAGIC ONCE AND FOR ALL, LEADING TO A FINAL FACE-OFF BETWEEN DARK SWAN AND DARK HOOK—The dark siege of Storybrooke is underway as all of the resurrected Dark Ones target a living soul for sacrifice so that they can return to the realm of the living. With doom imminent, Gold advises Mary Margaret, David and the rest of the heroes to spend their last fleeting moments enjoying the company of their loved ones. Emma, however, refuses to give up, knowing that she is responsible for righting all the poor choices she made as Dark One–there’s only one problem, Dark Hook. When they face-off with the fate of Storybrooke at stake, Hook’s actions will devastate Emma in a way no one saw coming. In a Fairy Tale Land flashback, the Evil Queen tests Hook’s mettle by forcing him to confront a demon from his past before contracting him to dispatch one from hers. (via ABC)
Hook’s actions will devastate Emma in a way no one saw coming. *WEEPING* Does this mean there’s no hope for CaptainSwan? Is Killian so deep in the darkness that he’s irredeemable and even Emma’s love can’t reach him?
Thanks to ABC we have THREE clips from the upcoming episode to share! In the first video, Emma and the Heroes are searching for Killian before he can resurrect all the Dark Ones…as we know, they’re too late. Emma’s feeling a lot of guilt, but is prepared to stop Dark Hook no matter what.
In the second clip, Dark Hook and Rumple face off again. Rumple tries to fight Hook with Excalibur, but Hook taunts him about his failing relationship with Belle.
And in the final clip, we get a flashback to the Fairytale Land. The Evil Queen has asked Captain Hook to kill her mother, but has a test to make sure he’s up to the task.

The Dark Ones are about to descend on Storybrooke, but will Emma really put aside her love for Killian in order to prevent him (and his fellows) from destroying all the light in the world? Judging from the images below, we’re in for a battle! Also, can we talk about how good Papa Hook looks?! I wonder why he and Killian seem to have such a difficult relationship…
