Season 4 of Vikings will premiere Thursday, February 18 at 10:00pm ET|PT on HISTORY. Get a sneak peek of what we can expect in upcoming episodes!
HISTORY announced that their hit drama series Vikings will return for its fourth season on Thursday, February 18 at 10pm ET!
We can expect 20 episodes for the upcoming season (double the episodes in Season 3). Beginning on February 18, ten new episodes will air every Thursday. After a mid-season break, the remaining episodes will air later in 2016.
If you’ll recall, Season 3 ended with an EPIC battle in Paris, where Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) seized the city, but became dangerously ill.
Season 4 begins with Ragnar back in Kattegat, where thoughts of his death trigger several plots by those who wish to be the next king, including Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) and even Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig)!
Elsewhere, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and the treacherous Kalf (Ben Robson) are locked in an ongoing power struggle; Rollo (Clive Standen), who has remained in Paris, agrees to betray the Vikings; and Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) is eventually punished for brutally murdering Athelstan.
At Comic-Con this past July during the Vikings panel, cast/creators treated fans to a sneak peek of Season 4, which includes many of these plot developments. If you haven’t already, you can watch it below:
Season 4 will also feature new additions to the Vikings cast including Peter Franzén as King Harold Finehair, a potential threat to Ragnar; Jasper Pääkkönen as Halfdan The Black, King Harold’s violent younger brother; and Dianne Doan as Yidu, someone Ragnar becomes fascinated with.
So many questions and potential conflicts… What are you most looking forward to seeing in season 4?
