The new trailer and poster from House of Cards‘ upcoming fourth season show Frank and Claire at odds. Get a sneak peek of the scheming that’s to come!
By the time we get to the end of House of Card‘s third season, it’s pretty clear that Frank and Claire Underwood (Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright) are on the outs.
Throughout the season, the two have very heated disagreements about Claire’s role in the administration and how much independence she would be afforded (outside of being First Lady). Can we talk about how, when LGBT rights activist Michael Corrigan commits suicide in the Russian prison, Claire publicly rails against President Petrov (Lars Mikkelsen)? Frank is so mad afterwards!
In any event, the finale episode concludes with Claire leaving Frank, and judging from the most recent Season 4 trailer, their marriage may really be caput!
NETFLIX just shared a new trailer for the upcoming episodes and our favorite calculating power couple is at war. As we get glimpses of Frank on the 2016 campaign trail (by himself) and political scheming from Petrov, Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), Remy Danton (Mahershala Ali), Jackie Sharp (Molly Parker), and more. There’s violence, murder, manipulation, and sex. All the while, Frank derides Claire for ruining what they’ve spent so much time building:

“We had a future until you started destroying it…”
OUCH, very harsh words coming from Frank.
*SIDENOTE* Did anyone else notice Kate Baldwin (Kim Dickens) in the background? If anyone could take down the Underwood administration, it might be her…
Check out the new House of Cards Season 4 poster (below), which also shows Frank and Claire on opposing sides. You know they say: “United we stand; divided we fall.” And this house of cards might be ready to tumble right down:

House of Cards Season 4 will premiere Friday, March 4, 2016, and you can catch up on the first three seasons right now on NETFLIX.
