STARZ releases new key art for Outlander‘s highly-anticipated Season 2. Also, see the new cover for the Dragonfly in Amber tie-in edition, coming March 8!
Sassenachs, the light at the end of this long, Droughtlander tunnel is almost at its end! Little, by little, we’ve gained more insight into Outlander‘s second season—new character posters, Vive Les Frasers art, and season 2 trailer.
Today STARZ released key art for the upcoming season, with the tagline “The Etiquette of War”. And judging from this new art, we know that in Season 2, looks will be completely deceiving.

Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) have left the Scottish highlands, and are thrust into Parisian high society. The poster displays all the decadence of 18th century Paris…the lavish food and furnishings, the colorful and opulent clothing. Jamie and Claire are in the center of all this, surrounded by (left to right) Mary Hawkins (Rosie Day), King Louis XV (Lionel Lingelser), Louise de Rohan (Claire Sermonne), Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix), Le Comte St Germain (Stanley Weber), and Prince Charles Stuart (Andrew Gower).
Everyone is whispering, calculating, and scheming; plus we know Jamie and Claire also have their own secret plans to change history and stop the battle of Culloden. Their weapons are flattery, manipulation, and politics, and King Louis’ court is the battlefield. Through it all, Claire and Jamie are united in their mission, fighting for their future together and Scotland.
Yesterday, Diana Gabaldon shared the new book cover for the Dragonfly in Amber tie-in edition, which features the same art—although in this version, King Louis is kissing one of Claire’s hands (If you’ve read the book, does King Louis’ attention strike you as being extra ominous?! *SHIVERS*)

*FLAILS*
I barely survived Dragonfly in Amber (just ask my friends who held my hand as I read it for the first time); I’m pretty sure Outlander Season 2 will also leave my feels in complete disarray, too!
What do you think of the new art?
The Dragonfly in Amber STARZ tie-in edition will be available starting March 8, but you can pre-order yours today! I’ll be getting mine and it will look oh so nice next to my Outlander tie-in novel too!
Outlander returns on Saturday, April 9 at 9pm ET|PT on STARZ. In the mean time, check out three new photo stills from Season 2 and stay tuned to We So Nerdy for more news!
