Now that Mike has taken Anita Gibbs’ deal, what does this mean for Rachel, Harvey, and Pearson/Specter/Litt? Get a sneak peek of Suits‘ season finale, airing at 10:00pm ET|PT on USA Network.
In last week’s Suits (“Tick Tock”), we got to see Mike Ross fight for his life. Mike took on the role as his own counsel and brought a single witness to testify to his skill as a lawyer and a Harvard-trained one, at that. After Jimmy’s testimony in “Self Defense” (Season 5, Episode 14), Mike called on Mrs. Gloria Danner to share how Mike (and Harvey) was able to get her son Clifford freed from a prison sentence he was serving for a murder he didn’t commit (Season 1, Episode 11 “Rules of the Game”). Mrs. Danner gave a very compelling testimony about how Mike was the only “who gave a damn about [her] son.” In fact, even Anita Gibbs’ cross-examination didn’t seem to dent her credibility or sincerity.
Mike then gave a passionate closing statement about his commitment to helping ordinary people (instead of putting money into the pockets of the rich), and then we waited…
As we waited:
- Harvey tried to blackmail David Green (who Mike took the LSATs for) into being in a compromising position with a juror, but David refused.
- Louis tried to make a deal with Anita Gibbs, but she insisted he provide evidence that Harvey knew all along that Mike never went to law school. There was also a huge fight when Louis goaded Harvey into admitting he put the firm in this mess by hiring Mike, who he knew was a fraud. Of course Louis recorded the conversation…
- Mike took on a petty theft trial (the accused was being bullied by a prosecutor after his defense lawyer didn’t show). In the end, against Mike’s advice, his client took a deal in exchange for turning in his accomplices.
This likely triggered something in Mike because, instead of waiting for his own jury to return, the very last scene was of him meeting with Ms. Gibbs: “I’m ready to take your deal.”
What does this all mean?!
Well tonight is the Season 5 finale, and we’ve got the episode synopsis below:

In the sneak peeks for the upcoming show, we see everyone is still in scramble mode. In the clip below, Louis confronts Katrina Bennett about a plan Robert Zane has to poach Pearson/Specter/Litt clients. Unfotunately, Louis won’t find any help from his former protege:
Yahoo! TV has another exclusive Suits sneak peek where we see that Harvey won’t react very well to Mike throwing himself under the bus. In the clip, he asks Donna to help get the name and address of the jury foreman so he can find out what their verdict for Mike would have been. Click HERE to watch.
