On top of all this, we’re lucky enough to have RT provide us with an interview with Cinda Williams Chima the author of Seven Realms series, and her new book, Flamecaster, book one in the Shattered Realms series.
What are you looking forward to at Romantic Times?
Romantic times! What else? 🙂 I love reader cons because I always feel in con-text. The best part of this job is getting to hang out with kindred spirits who love books the way I do — readers, authors, booksellers, editors, agents, librarians, teachers. No excuses, no explaining. I’m hoping to meet current and new readers, hang out with friends, and discover some new reads.
Which author that you haven’t met are you looking forward to meeting next at Romantic Times?
So many stellar authors, friends and future friends, I don’t know how I would choose.
What’s your favorite romance story?
I love transformational love stories in which each party learns and grows. I also love matches that seem totally unlikely, but once it happens, it seems inevitable.
Romantic Times is in Las Vegas this year – tell us which one of your characters and from which book would win big in Vegas? What advice would you give that character?
Jenna Bandelow from my new release, Flamecaster. Because she can see images of the future, and see the truth and lies in people, she would be great at the poker and blackjack tables. Also, she grew up in a tavern so she knows her way around.
What is up next for you?
I’m finishing up edits on Shadowcaster, book 2 in the Shattered Realms, and launching into a first draft of Stormcaster, which is book 3 (title not final.)
Did I mention that Tessa Dare will be there along with many other Historical Romance authors that I wish I could meet? My overall adoration of anything she writes is well known, but definitely check out these books:
When A Scot Ties the Knot
Lord Dashwood Missed Out
Oh, and my favorite Paranormal Romance writer, Ellis Leigh, will there! If you haven’t read her Feral Breed series or Feral Breed Followings series yet, what are you waiting for?
Claiming His Fate
Masterson
Claiming His Prize
Helena Hunting will be there on the heels of her release of Forever PUCKED, too! You can check some of the other books in the PUCKED series here:
Roni Loren who totally delivered the swoons with Off the Clock will be attending as well!
To everyone making their way to Las Vegas and the RT Convention, have a blast, and we’ll be making plans for next year in Atlanta!
