How long will Liv and Abby’s alliance last? Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Scandal (“Trump Card”), airing at 9:00pm ET|PT on ABC.

Gladiators, thinking back to last week’s Scandal (“Buckle Up“) there are three plot developments that stood out most to me.
First, seeing Liv and Abbie fighting with one another was so tough! And truly, there was nothing these two weren’t willing to do to stick it to the other person—from Liv’s petty move in preventing Abby from boarding the same elevator, all the way to Abby manufacturing a mechanical problem for Air Force One, thereby stalling Mellie’s (and Liv’s) flight to Florida! However, after Hollis Doyle won the Florida primary, Liv and Abby finally put their differences aside and decided to join forces to take him down.
Second, can we talk about how odd it was to see Fitz and Mellie having a conversation about Liv’s wellbeing?! I mean, they were speculating about her sleeping habits, her eating and exercise routines. And when Fitz revealed to Mellie that Liv was the one who killed VP Andrew, they were both so concerned! The Liv/Fitz/Mellie relationship has always been an interesting one, but this exchange between Fitz and Mellie about his ex-mistress seemed unreal.
Third, crazy (romantic) relationships are CRAZY! David was so determined to prove his love for Susan that he agreed to Governor Baker’s demands: she would endorse Susan if he stopped an investigation of a company she had illicit ties to. But if David really loves Susan he *has* to tell her that he was cheating with Lizzie! Next, is anyone else super interested in Mellie’s relationship with Marcus? He has a way of calming her down and advising her, and Mellie seems keen to take his counsel. Finally, Michael may have helped Cyrus to get Alex Vargas off Frankie’s campaign; however, Michael also took Ella and BOUNCED.
With only two more episodes left in this season, things are sure to get even more crazy.
In tonight’s episode “Trump Card” (written by Severiano Canales and Jess Brownell, directed by Jann Turner):
MELLIE AND SUSAN MIGHT GET TRUMPED BY HOLLIS AS THE RACE FOR PRESIDENT CONTINUES—Olivia and Abby have to put their differences aside and work together to try and take Hollis Doyle down. Meanwhile, Edison realizes he may have made a deal with the devil as Rowan and Jake continue to try and pull the strings behind his campaign. (via ABC)
Watch these two clips from the show. In the first, Edison tries to tell Jake that he’ll choose another running mate, but Jake let’s Edison know that he really has no choice in the matter. And in the second video, Quinn and Huck disagree about whether Liv and Abby can go back to the friendship they once had:
The consequences of Edison telling Jake “No”… 😳😳 https://t.co/pUXxNcDpJo

I think Huck is right… even though Abby used to be a Gladiator, she’s basked in White House power/authority for too long to then come back and be Liv’s #2. Also, Edison might not make it out of this season alive. Js.
