Bryan Cranston makes his return to the Power Rangers Universe as sage mentor, Zordon. Also, see the newest film teaser poster!
Be still my Power Rangers loving heart!
Ever since Lionsgate announced that they’re bringing Power Rangers back to the big screen, I’ve been so excited to casting news. We’ve already had a first look at Elizabeth Banks as super-villain Rita Repulsa in all her green, reptilian glory. We’ve also gotten a sneak peek of all five rangers—Naomi Scott as Kimberly Hart/Pink Ranger, Becky G. as Trini Kwan/Yellow Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger, and Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor/Black Ranger—sporting their updated suits.
Well, earlier this week, we got even more news about one of the most beloved characters in the Power Rangers universe! Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad fame has officially been cast as Zordon, arch-nemesis of Rita Repulsa and sage mentor to the Rangers.
Actually, Mr. Cranston is already a part of the Power Rangers family. In Season 1 of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series, he was the voice of the monsters Twin Man and Snizard. And interestingly, the Blue Ranger—Billy Cranston—is named after him!

I can’t wait until we get a chance to see Bryan Cranston as Zordon, both inside and outside of his time warp. I also wonder if we’ll get a chance to see the centuries-ago war between Zordon and Rita!
Take a look at the latest teaser poster and remember Power Rangers hits theaters in March 2017!
