I have always loved Lily and Randy. Their book was my favorite of the Pucked series, and when I heard that Helena Hunting was writing a novella about what happens after their book, I tripped over myself to buy this one from iBooks, which I never do. (There’s nothing wrong with iBooks. I just don’t use it a lot.)
I was so happy I bought it back in July. Randy is in peak form in this one. He’s possessive and sexy, but still learning how to navigate a relationship while dealing with a past he can’t seem to shake. Lily tries to reassure him, but sometimes the hero needs to work things out in his own mind, and our heroine stands beside him, keeping him steady.
The novella starts out with Randy getting a little jealous that Lily is helping some guy with his pairs skating. Due to this, there’s some incredibly hot locker room sex which is worth several re-reads.
As the novella moves along and into the new hockey season, things get a little rough for Randy and Lily, especially with the reappearance of his father. Crashing on his couch isn’t going to work anymore now that Lily lives with him, and Randy has to make some tough decisions regarding his dad.
That’s the main source of angst in this story. Lily and Randy’s relationship is rock solid.
This one also gives us a lot of insight into Darren and Charlene’s relationship, too. After reading Pucked Under, I think Darren is a dom. If the next novella is about them and their relationship, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they’re into BDSM. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t here for that. I’d love to see how that dynamic works out.
This one isn’t as over-the-top as Violet and Alex’s books or Sunny and Miller’s but I love it so much. Randy, Lily and Moody Dick forever!
Randy Ballistic and Lily LeBlanc are head-over-heels, bed-breakingly, screaming orgasmically in love. But even they have their challenges, mostly outside of the bedroom.
With the off-season coming to a close and the boys gearing up for training camp, one more weekend of fun is the perfect way to welcome the new season.
The entire crew piles into vehicles and drives to Alex and Violet’s Chicago cottage for a few days of relaxation―and hopefully a chance for Randy to shake the anxiety that’s been plaguing him.
Accidental wardrobe malfunctions, typical Violet inspired overshares, and a whole lot of private time round out the perfect weekend getaway.
But the moment they return to the city all of Randy’s angst resurfaces with the arrival of a surprise houseguest.

NYT and USA Today bestselling author of PUCKED, Helena Hunting lives on the outskirts of Toronto with her incredibly tolerant family and two moderately intolerant cats. She’s writes contemporary romance ranging from new adult angst to romantic sports comedy.
