NBC shares their upcoming 2017 – 2018 primetime lineup, and we’ve got the details about their new and returning series!
Today NBCUniversal held their annual Upfronts event at New York’s Radio City Music Hall to announce the 2017 – 2018 primetime schedule. Several of our fave celebs were in attendance, like the cast of This Is Us, Jennifer Hudson (new judge on The Voice), Jaimie Alexander (Blindspot), Mindy Kaling (new series Champions), plus more!
NBC is definitely on my good side after their decision to un-cancel Timeless! I’m so grateful for the show’s creators and fans for going out on a limb to make sure this quality show gets another shot.
It looks like NBC is coming for ABC’s TGiT by offering a power-packed Thursday evening line-up that includes the Will & Grace revival, This Is Us Season 2, and a new true crime event series Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders.
Several new dramas that will launch in midseason are Rise (about a dedicated high school teacher who, when taking over the school’s lackluster theater department, galvanizes not only the faculty and students but the entire working-class town) and Reverie (about a college professor trying to save ordinary people who have lost themselves in a highly advanced virtual-reality program in which you can literally live your dreams).
In addition to Will & Grace (where Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally return in all their glory) NBC’s two other new comedy series premiering later this season are A.P. Bio (starring Glenn Howerton as an Advanced Placement biology teacher who makes it perfectly clear he will not be teaching any biology and uses his students to his own benefit) and Champions (about a charismatic gym owner with no ambition who suddenly finds out he has a teenage son).
See below for the list of shows that have been renewed and canceled so far, plus details about the new primetime line up!
