EL James is bringing us a new Fifty Shades book featuring Christian’s POV next month! Check out the details for Darker + pre-order yours.
Hi there Fellow Fifty fans! The last time we chatted, we were flailing over the glorious new Fifty Shades Freed trailer last month. And yesterday EL James blew our whole minds by announcing that Fifty Shades Darker from Christian POV is coming NEXT MONTH!
I completely devoured Grey (Fifty Shades of Grey from Christian POV) in like 36 hours. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the series from Ana POV (Ana is 100% my homegirl), but being in Christian’s mind added a lot of richness and nuance to an already familiar story.
Christian was such a mess, and I think EL’s writing style brilliantly depicted that…the repetition, the contradictions, the FEAR, the rapid changes of mood. Goodness, my heart broke for this man; then again, there were several times I wanted to junkpunch him (this is unsurprising). But by the end, I’d fallen in love with Christian, just like Ana.
I also really enjoyed seeing Ana through Christian’s eyes and tracking the evolution of his very deep and very complicated feelings for her. Ana really didn’t see herself clearly…but we also knew this.
We were treated to glorious swoons and SEXY, SEXY sexy times we’ve come to expect from Fifty Shades, plus Grey was wonderfully edited!
I loved every moment, and I’m desperate for Darker too! Check out the cover art and summary below:

EL James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the globe.
Their scorching, sensual affair ended in heartbreak and recrimination, but Christian Grey cannot get Anastasia Steele out of his mind, or his blood. Determined to win her back, he tries to suppress his darkest desires and his need for complete control, and to love Ana on her own terms.
But the horrors of his childhood still haunt him, and Ana’s scheming boss, Jack Hyde, clearly wants her for himself. Can Christian’s confidant and therapist, Dr. Flynn, help him face down his demons? Or will the possessiveness of Elena, his seducer, and the deranged devotion of Leila, his former submissive, drag Christian down into the past?
And if Christian does win Ana back, can a man so dark and damaged ever hope to keep her?
According to EL:
“The inside of Christian Grey’s head is a fascinating place to be. In Grey we got the first glimpse of what makes Christian tick, but in Darker we go deeper, into his most painful memories and the encounters that made him the damaged, demanding man Ana falls in love with. Writing this novel has been a journey of discovery, and I hope readers will find what I’ve learned as compelling as I did.”
Darker will be out on November 28, 2017 (right after Thanksgiving!) and is already available for pre-order on Amazon Kindle and paperback.
I can’t wait to read and review! What scenes are you most looking forward to seeing in Darker? Share your thoughts with us in comments.
