Roomies by Christina Lauren was such a swoony read, so when we heard it was being adapted into a film, we freaked out! Here’s what we know so far!

First off, Roomies made me smile…a lot. It’s really cute, and Calvin is the best! Holland has had her eye on him for a while, and purposefully changes her route to work so that she can listen to him play in the subway. She makes up a life for him in her head, but when she finally meets him, he’s so much better in real life.
How they meet is pretty dramatic, but let’s be real, it’s perfect for them!
Once Holland finds out that Calvin is in in the country illegally because his visa expired, she offers to marry him so that he can stay and fulfill his dream of working on Broadway. (He landed a role in a production ran by her uncle after she got him an audition.)
What follows is flirty, sexy, and fun! It wasn’t the plan to fall in love with her fake husband, but it was so easy! Trust me, Calvin feels the same way. There’s a bit of drama, and the end is a little rushed, but overall this book is a fantastic read!
Per Variety, Andy Fickman and Jenna Dewan will team up to make this romantic comedy happen! You can read the original, exclusive article HERE.
What I find truly exciting is that Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings are adapting their novel to screen themselves! This makes me so happy because I know they’re going to take care of their baby and give us a love story that’s going be perfect! We are in such need of swoons and these women leading the way on their own adaptation is fantastic!
Have you read Roomies? Who would you like to see play Holland and Calvin? What scene would you love to see play out on screen? Mine has to be the wedding! I really hope they have him give her the flowers for her hair because SWOON!
“It’s an Irish tradition for brides to wear flowers in their hair–in my family, at least. I know we’re not…that this isn’t tradition in that sense. But Mam would be heartbroken if I didn’t at least ask.”
And…
“You must think I’m a maniac.”
His grin charges something to life inside me. “Well, aren’t you? I think that’s why I like you, Holland Bakker McLoughlin. That and your freckles.”
Needless to say, I can’t wait! If you haven’t read the novel, one-click it right now!
