Netflix will be releasing The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society on August 10th! Get all the details and watch the trailer here!
Have you ever curled up on the couch and scrolled through Netflix, looking for a good romance to watch? Maybe you searched for a specific title, but it wasn’t there?
Me, too.
Apparently Netflix noticed and decided to tap into this underserved market because they are doing the Lord’s work when it comes to putting more romance films into circulation! Glen Powell is their go-to guy, too, and I don’t hate it. I know y’all have watched Set it Up!
I, for one, am eternally grateful to Netflix for this quality content. If they need any help figuring out their next romance novel adaptation, please be seeing novels by Tessa Dare, Alisha Rai, Alyssa Cole, Lisa Kleypas, Christina Lauren, Courtney Milan, Helena Hunting, and Helen Hoang. Pop over to twitter for a minute and find all the romances Romancelandia would pay good money to watch!
Back to The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, what can you expect from this swoony film?
It looks like a heaping dose of gorgeous cinematography and costumes, a stacked cast starring Lily James, Michiel Huisman, Glen Powell, Matthew Goode, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Katherine Parkinson, with Tom Courtenay, and Penelope Wilton {Via Netflix}, and just enough angst to make your heart twinge a little bit.
I sincerely hope that Glen Powell’s character, Mark, is a genuinely nice guy. It seems like Juliet might leave him for Dawsey, but that doesn’t mean he can’t find happiness with someone else. Make it work, Netflix.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society will arrive on Netflix August 10th, so add it to your list and get ready for some lovely romance watching!
