The third season of Preacher is off to a running start! We had the opportunity to attend the press conference with the cast and creators of the series at SDCC to discuss what else we can expect this season!

Preacher is not for the easily offended, and its cast and creators certainly know that. Despite its depictions of religion and historically awful individuals, the show has carved out a space for itself.
At SDCC, we were able to attend a press conference with the cast and creators of the series as they talked about season three.
Where are Tulip and Cassidy headed now that she’s told him that she doesn’t love him back? Does she push him away for the same reason that Jesse pushed her away? Can Tulip become any more of a badass this season?
Does Gran’ma truly love Jesse despite being evil and practically torturing him? Does Jesse love his grandma?
One of the most important and relevant moments of the press conference happened when Joe Gilgun talked about mental health and the importance of ending the taboo around discussing it. He went on to talk about his mindset during season two and how it was a horrible experience, but after seeking help, he’s in a much better space.
I’ve always been a big fan of Gilgun’s and in those few minutes when he spoke about his struggles and desire to create a dialogue about mental health, my fangirl-ness hit an all-time level of respect.
You can check out the whole press conference below and get some insight into season three! This Sunday will air episode seven of the ten episode season so things are probably going to get even crazier for the core group!
Preacher is in its third season on AMC and airs Sunday nights at 10/9c.
