Avengers: Endgame split viewers on whether they liked it or not, but now it’s getting a re-release with bonus footage! There’s a reason, though…

For a decade, Avatar has held the coveted spot for top grossing film. Endgame is about 34 million behind Avatar right now. This re-release could certainly push it over the edge to nab the top spot. The question is, will fans who were disappointed to begin with show back up at the theaters for it?
I’m going with YES.
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Kevin Feige said:
Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend.
So, while there won’t be added scenes inside the film, the temptation of after-credits scenes is too much for me to pass up.
Given that Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres July 2, some of this footage may lead into that film. That’s purely speculation on my part, but from what we’ve seen of Far From Home, Peter is struggling with the aftermath of Tony’s death and maybe these extras will show us more of that or what’s happening outside of our timeline to bring in Mysterio. Again, speculation.
What you can take away from all this excitement is one thing.
Marvel,

Avengers: Endgame with new material premieres June 28!
