The Boys second season will arrive September 4. What can we expect from this season? You can check out the teaser trailer below!
The Boys is a gruesome, irreverent trip. I mean, it’s from the producers of Preacher so I expected nothing less. I can safely say that I almost stopped watching a couple of times during season one, but decided to keep going because I want the women superheroes to take down the asshole men superheroes. I realize that may not happen right away, but I’m counting on it! With the help of Billy Butcher and company of course. Please note, I’m Hughie constantly while watching.
I also haven’t stopped laughing at the dolphin flying through the truck window because The Deep is the fragilist of masculinities and incapable of solving the simplest of problems. I don’t mean to make him seem harmless either. He’s a rapist. He’s awful.
Season two of the series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video September 4. It will take the approach of Disney+ and release a new episode each week after the initial premiere of 3 episodes, so no more binge watching for us! Season two will consist of eight episodes.
The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.
The Supes of The Seven also include Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell).
Recurring stars in season two include Claudia Doumit, Goran Visnijc, Malcolm Barrett, Colby Minifie, Shantel VanSanten, Cameron Crovetti, PJ Byrne, Laila Robbins and Giancarlo Esposito returning as Vought boss Stan Edgar, among others.{Via Amazon}
