A weekly overview of all the goodness we brought you from Monday, November 10 – Sunday, November 16.
It’s been an amazing ride since we official launched on October 1, 2014. We love providing you all things to flail over and will continue to do so. Let’s get to the weekly overview of the items we discussed this week.
November 10
As always Mondays we start the day off with Monday Funnies. This week we brought you videos from Viner Rudy Mancuso and entertainer Todrick Hall aka Toddy Rock Star, along with a very funny meme about procrastination. We wanted to bring the heat as well, so we brought you news about Charlie Hunnam’s December 2014 Men’s Health cover along with some behind-the-scenes from the photo shoot. And old news is great news when talking about Charlie Hunnam in the Calvin Klein REVEAL ad. We took a trip down memory lane to show you the commercial along with some BTS from shoot. From heat we go to action with the release of the first official trailer for Furious 7. The trailer was action packed and gives off the impression that Paul Walker’s legacy with the franchise will continue to be amazing.
Sneak peeks are our thing. For Monday night TV we provided a preview of The Originals season 2, episode 6, “Wheel Inside the Wheel,” where Julie Plec and Michael Narducci took us behind the scenes to discuss the story or young Esther and Mikael. In the sneak peek into Gotham, season 1, episode 8, “The Mask,” we meet another DC Comics supervillain who brought a brutal and fatal fight club to Gotham City. In the sneak peeks of Jane The Virgin “Chapter Five”, Rafael made a big confession to Jane about his relationship with Petra. Meanwhile, Jane attempted to get to know Rogelio as her father. And in a preview of Sleepy Hollow season 2, episode 8, “Heartless,” Ichabod, Abbie, and Katrina figured out a succubus was the cause of a new string of violent murders in town.
November 11
Telling you how Matt Damon will be Jason Bourne again produced a lot of EPIC fangirl flails. Matt confirmed on the red carpet for the fourth season of Project Greenlight that the a new Jason Bourne film will come out in 2016. We followed that news with a sneak peek into The Flash, season 1, episode 5, “Plastique” where we see Barry/The Flash running up the side of a building. The production value on this show is like, Whoa! And to close out Tuesday, we got a preview of Supernatural’s 200th episode, “Fan Fiction.” The 200th episode really catered to the fans and had some amazing guest stars in the mix.
November 12
For TV on Wednesday night we provided you with a sneak peek into Arrow, season 3, episode 6, “Guilty.” In this episode, we find out that Arrow/Oliver Queen wasn’t Starling Cities first vigilante and we get to see the making of Laurel Lance aka the Black Canary. Which went great with the CW releasing images of Katie Cassidy in her Black Canary garb. She looks deadly and smoking hot. Also, we gave you a preview of ABC’s black-ish, season 1, episode 7, “The Gift of Hunger”. In the episode, Dre decided to teach the kids a lesson about being less spoiled.
Stephanie Meyer was joined by Kristen Stewart, Octavia Spencer, Jennifer Lee (Frozen), Twilight fans and more to officially launch the first phase of “The Storytellers–New Creative Voices of The Twilight Saga.” Keeping up with film news, Insurgent released the teaser trailer and teaser poster for Insurgent coming out on March 20, 2015. In the teaser trailer Tris is being all kinds of badass as she defies gravity and “reality” in an attempt to rescue her mother.
November 13
As usual, we brought you sneak peeks of our favorite TGiT shows: in a preview of Grey’s Anatomy season 11, episode 7, “Could We Start Again, Please?” we saw things were about to get very difficult for Amelia Shepherd. In the sneak peek for The Vampire Dairies, season 6, episode 7, “Do You Remember the First Time?” we see how Damon is dealing with the Elena’s complusion and we get a gift from the Bamon gods when Damon realizes that Bonnie didn’t die in the time loop universe. We provided photo stills from Scandal season 4, episode 7, “The Last Supper” which showed the difficulty Liv, Fitz, and Jake had working together to bring down Command. And in a video clip from How to Get Away with Murder season 1, episode 8, “He Has a Wife,” Annalise confronts Sam about Lila’s pregnancy and his (potential) role in her murder.
November 14
We brought you the newly released trailer from Fifty Shades of Grey and three new movie posters. And we provided a sneak peek into Constantine, season 1, episode 4, “Feast of Friends.” In this episode, we see a demon with a crazy appetite making it’s way through Atlanta and a visit from an old friend of John Constantine is the cause.
And we have another book review and giveaway. w00t!!! Bill Duke’s Dark Girls came out on November 11, 2014 and to celebrate this amazing coffee table book that discusses the beauty of dark-skinned women we are providing one copy to a lucky person. Make sure you enter.
November 15
We shared a new Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson interview with Good Morning America, plus three new Mockingjay Part 1 film clips and TV spots. And with Sons of Anarchy wrapping up its series, the SoA cast visited Conan to discuss their feelings about the show ending and their favorite fan experiences.
November 16
In a sneak peek of the Once Upon a Time two-hour special episode, “Smash the Mirror,” Emma went to Rumple/Mr. Gold for help controlling her powers. And in a flashback, we saw the Snow Queen try to drive a wedge between Elsa and Anna. And in a preview of the new Revenge, Emily confronted David about is absence all these years.
