Get a sneak peek into The Flash, season 1, episode 6, “The Flash is Born” airing tonight on the CW at 8/7c.
Every episode so far in season 1 of The Flash has been spectacular. Last week in episode 5, “Plastique” Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) and S.T.A.R. Labs pals Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) hang out with Iris (Candice Patton) and her boyfriend Eddie (Rick Cosnett) at a bar. Trouble erupts in town while the gang is getting to know each other and Barry runs off to save the day, which finally leads Iris (who sneaked off to see what was happening) to come face-to-face with “The Streak.”
As the story develops Barry becomes aware of General Wade Eiling (Clancy Brown) who unbeknownst to him has an interesting past with Dr. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). We get to see Barry save the city from Bette Sans Souci/Plastique (Kelly Frye) as she is about to implode in her final minutes of life. But the big heart-wrenching moment came when Iris and The Flash have a conversation where she tells him she is documenting his existence and heroics to save her friend Barry from his past. Watching this scene unfold and the later one where Barry gives Iris an ultimatum, give up her quest to find more about “The Streak” or their friendship suffers was tear producing. We all know it will work out, but watching Barry and Iris (WestAllen) not be buddy-buddy will be hard on us. Until many of us get the ship we want, we can be relieved to know that Gorilla Grodd will have a place within the TV series The Flash based on the final seen in “Plastique.” Yay!!!
This week up on The Flash season 1, episode 6, “The Flash is Born,” which guest stars Greg Finley as Tony Woodward/Girder:
The Flash faces a new meta-human named Tony, who can turn himself into girded steel, but Cisco comes up with a plan to take Tony down. Meanwhile, Iris gets in trouble over her blog; Eddie witnesses Tony’s abilities and asks questions that Joe doesn’t want answered; and Joe asks Dr. Wells to help him solve Nora Allen’s murder. (via TV Guide)
It definitely looks like “The Flash is Born” will be a jammed packed episode. And based on the below clip from the episode where The Flash and Girder meet for the first time we know The Flash has some another serious bad guy to contend with.
