Many of us have been not-so-patiently waiting for the Lorde curated soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 to be released since it was announced. Now that it has, it’s lovely to see that the soundtrack debut at #1 on the iTunes Soundtrack Album Charts. The album which was released in the same week that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 1 – Part 1 is set to hit the theaters, gives the fans amazing collaborations to listen to before they get their fill of the 3rd film in The Hunger Games franchise.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack (Republic Records) has four tracks by the Grammy Award winning artist Lorde and the collaborations between the artists are spectacular. “All M Love” by Major Lazer featuring Ariana Grande was melodic. “This is Not a Game” by The Chemical Brothers featuring Miguel makes me want to pull out my bass and play along. And being a HUGE Grace Jones fan, I’m all about her song “Original Beast.” I truly enjoyed The Hunger Games: Mockingjay 1 – Part 1 soundtrack and I’m fully ready to see the film thanks to the tunes on the soundtrack.
