Papa Midnite is BACK!!! Get a sneak peek into Constantine, season 1, episode 6, “Danse Vaudou” airing tonight on NBC at 10 PM ET/PT.
Constantine continues to amaze me. I love the show so much that I put the stan in Constantine. The dynamic between Matt Ryan who portrays John Constantine and Angélica Celaya who plays Zed Martin is palpable. Each interaction between the two actors makes me feel like I’m in the actual scene with them verses witnessing them through the screen of my television. The synergy is spectacular and it doesn’t just stop with Angelica and Matt. The entire cast which also includes, Charles Halford who plays Chas and Harold Perrineau who portrays the angel Manny, bring such truth and brilliance to their performances I can’t turn away. Trust me that is difficult for me because the special effects and make-up for the show are so lifelike that I often want to close my eyes during the gross and/or insect filled moments. But I would never do so because I may miss something! I push through and just let the heebie-jeebies overtake me so I don’t miss a single thing.
Last week on Constantine, episode 105, “Feast of Friends,” John’s friend Gary ‘Gaz’ Lester (Jonjo O’Neill) paid him a visit and accidentally brought along a demon that possessed a person and through the individual consumed everything in sight. It was horrific to watch, as these individuals bodies were manipulated and became deformed and grotesque as they ate items from raw animals to popcorn. When the demon could no longer use its host it would release Khapra beetles to help it take over its next host. Oh, it was gross, but spectacular since the special effects were awesome. In the end of the episode, Gaz with a bit of manipulation from John sacrifices himself so they can kill the demon. Having Gaz in this episode provided a slight bit more information regarding Astra and her death in New Castle. According to Charles Halford “it’s troubling.”
“@WeSoNerdy: #GaryLester bringing up Astra. I need to know the full story behind what happened to her. #Constantine” it’s troubling…

As much as I want to know more about Astra’s death. I’m afraid of the story because of Charles’ tweet is quite ominous. Now the episode for this week has me all kinds of excited. Papa Midnite (Michael James Shaw) is BACK!!! On Constantine, season 1, episode 6, “Danse Vaudou,”
Constantine and Papa Midnite must join forces to lay to rest a deadly threat. In New Orleans, Constantine’s unusual knowledge of a string of crimes gets him into trouble with Detective Jim Corrigan. He must form an unholy alliance with Papa Midnite when a voodoo ritual to help people communicate with their dead loved ones takes a deadly turn. (via NBC)
