Preview part 1 of Sleepy Hollow‘s winter finale, ‘Magnum Opus,’ airing tonight at 9:00pmET on FOX.
Last week’s episode of Sleepy Hollow was just as moving as I thought it would be. It was great to learn and see more about Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Jenny’s (Lyndie Greenwood) background and their relationship with their mother (Aunjanue Ellis). And even better, I loved that their mom was vindicated. She knew Abbie was a witness the entire time, and all of her actions, though viewed as irrational then, were to protect both her daughters from Moloch. Here’s hoping that she’s finally resting in peace. And of course, there was the BIG unexpected ending: first, we saw that Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) had flown the coop and escaped from Tarrytown. And second, baby Moloch isn’t a baby anymore!
Tonight’s episode, “Magnum Opus,” is the first of Sleepy Hollow‘s two part winter finale, and we’ll see that the drama and mystery keeps ratcheting up:
A quest to kill Moloch is the next mission undertaken by Abbie and Ichabod, but only if they can find a weapon powerful enough and the Headless Horseman doesn’t get in the way. (via TV Guide)
In these video clips from the upcoming show we see that while Jenny is trying to help Irving elude the police, he is rapidly losing hope. And in the second sneak peek, Ichabod (Tom Mison) reflects on his friendship with Abraham/Headless (Neil Jackson) before they both came the the American Colonies:
I feel so bad for Captain Irving! I really hope he can be reunited with his family soon and that he can retrieve his soul from Henry (John Noble). And seeing Ichabod’s former bromance with Abraham is bittersweet when you think about their MASSIVE falling out since then.
