Flail over the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer with us.
If you were like me you were probably stalking the Star Wars official Twitter account and the Interwebs for the video of the official Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer the moment the below tweet was seen:

Movie studios put tight reigns on their products to avoid items being leaked, but as we’ve seen in the past, things happen. So with the possibility of a leak or just the not-so-patiently waiting for the actual Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer to be released, most Star Wars fans sat in front of their devices waiting to be wowed by Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams. And Mr. Abrams along with the cast, crew, and production team didn’t disappoint.

From the moment the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer begins with an open shot of the sands of Tatooine and Andy Serkis voice narrating, “There has been an awakening… Have you felt it?” followed by John Boyega popping up with a cinematic bass line in his Stormtrooper uniform, surveying the land, I was hooked. No amount of disgustingly negative and racist comments about Mr. Boyega was going to stop me from watching the teaser trailer on repeat in constant awe, as if each viewing were my first. With the glimpses of Oscar Isaac as an X-Wing pilot and Daisy Ridley on a hover-bike I am awaiting to find out the roles that Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, and Domhnall Gleeson will play along with the already mentioned cast and with Star Wars veterans Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill.
While I wait to see what other news that Disney and Abrams may bless us with, I hope that Star Wars: The Force Awakens will have a panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2015. My hopes are high since the official SDCC Instagram account sent out a photo still from film with the following words:
“Here’s a great still taken from the Star Wars The Force Awakens trailer! Hoping we get a heavy dose of goodies at next year’s SDCC!”
And if you can take a break from watching the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer repeatedly, take a look at this hilarious post on Dorkly about fans reactions to the new lightsaber seen in the teaser trailer.
