Preview black-ish Season 1, Episode 12 “Martin Luther Skiing Day” with video and photo sneak peeks. The new episode airs tonight at 9:30pm ET|PT on ABC.
Last week’s episode of black-ish was just as entertaining as I thought it would be. It was great to finally see Pops (Laurence Fishburne) and Mama Ruby (Jenifer Lewis) on-screen together and, as predicted, those two are HILARIOUS. I have no doubt in my mind that Pops is a manly man and, Ruby likes her men macho. So it makes sense that she would consider rekindling a romance with Pops after he defends the Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) and the family at the valet.
But who knew that Ruby has such a firey temper and isn’t afraid to use explosives to make her displeasure known! Slightly scary, but mostly funny. Although, it makes me wonder what Bow’s parents are like…
Tonight’s show is sure to keep the laughs coming. In the U.S. we’ll be commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 19 and of course, black-ish will be offering their commentary on the holiday. In “Martin Luther Skiing Day”:
Dre decides to teach his kids the importance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while on their annual MLK holiday ski trip; and for Junior, this means a unique lesson on intolerance in the real world—or in his case, the ski lodge. (via TV Guide)
Take a look at this preview of tonight’s show–in past episodes, Dre (Anthony Anderson) has been incredibly conscientious of making sure the kids are aware of Black culture and history, and Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy is no different:

“I always zone out when people start to tell me about their dreams.” Oh goodness, Jr. (Marcus Scribner) is too funny! And did you see Dre’s facial reaction?! I’m really looking forward to this.
