The Lyons are heading to illadelphia! Get your sneak peek into the third episode of Empire, “The Devil Quotes Scripture” airing tonight on FOX at 9:01 PM (ET/PT).
Empire fans have been blessed so far with two hours of a gritty and intense drama revolving around the ailing patriarch Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), fresh out of prison matriarch Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), and their three sons Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smollett), and Hakeem (Bryshere Gray). Each person has an agenda, some of the finer points of their goals have been shared with others while most are kept close to their hearts.
Last week on “The Outspoken King,” Andre put the pieces in play to attempt to advance his position in taking over Empire Entertainment. The only flaw in his plan to pit his brothers and parents against each other was that Hakeem actually respects and values the opinion of Jamal. In the end, Jamal went against Lucious and performed with Hakeem at a special Empire Entertainment event. Lucious Lyon might have been upset, but everyone else was very much in love with the talented show of brotherly love. Plus we discovered that Cookie’s early release was conditional. Cookie is working with the federal government to take down Lucious Lyon.
Now up on tonight’s episode, “The Devil Quotes Scripture,” the family travel to Philadelphia and get glimpses of what life could have been like if Lucious never made. Lucious and Jamal continue to butt heads and Lucious tries to promote the budding relationship of Tianna and his favorite son Hakeem. However, some drama arises when Camilla (Naomi Campbell) sparks the interest of the youngest Lyon, Hakeem. Guest stars outside of the fabulous supermodel Ms. Campbell include, Cuba Gooding Jr. as Puma, Gabourey Sidibe as Becky, and Malik Yoba as Vernon Turner.
