Watch the new music videos for Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” and The Weeknd’s “Earned It” from the Fifty Shades soundtrack. The official soundtrack will be available starting February 10, 2015.
We’re officially three weeks away from the theatrical release of Fifty Shades of Grey! Like many of my fellow Fifty fans I’ve been biding my time by pre-ordering my tickets, watching the trailers and TV spots (over and over again), reading the new Variety feature “Fifty Shades Laid Bare“—-actually, more like staring at the photos of sexy Jamie Dornan (over and over again), and listening to the released singles from the soundtrack (repeatedly). Suffices to say, I’m so ready to see this film; however, that doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying all the goodies that come along with promo, because I am!
Earlier this week The Weeknd and Ellie Goulding released the official music videos from “Earned It” and “Love Me Like You Do” (respectively). The “Earned It” video was directed by Fifty Shades of Grey‘s director, Sam Taylor-Johnson, and centers on a burlesque-type performance, with Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) bound and hanging from the ceiling (like a very sensuous chandelier). And in the LMLYD video, we get scenes of Ellie singing and dancing in a gorgeous ballroom (no naked Dakota-chandelier this time) interspersed with scenes from the film. Check them both out below:
I have to be honest with you—-after watching those two videos I had butterflies in my tummy and heart palpitations from the swoons! As I’ve said before, these songs sound so in tune with Christian and Ana’s story, and the music videos totally embody the romance and seduction too. BRAVO!
What do you think of the music videos?
Remember, the Fifty Shades soundtrack goes on sale in a couple weeks on February 10, but you can pre-order your copy HERE today.
