The way that last week’s Revenge episode ended had me questioning my feelings toward several characters. As Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) were kidnapped by Malcolm Black (Tommy Flanagan), David (James Tupper), Jack (Nick Wechsler), and Ben (Brian Hallisay) had to join forces to rescue them. I wasn’t expecting to be able to trust Ben, and to be honest, I still don’t think I do. However, he was quick on his feet and able to provide David and Jack back-up when they faced Malcolm. *sidenote* How fiery and gruesome was Malcolm’s death scene?! *shivers*
Speaking of not trusting people…VICTORIA. I didn’t at all expect for her to basically sacrifice herself for Emily by taking the blame for killing Kate (Courtney Ford). I mean, she was the one who sent Kate to meet Emily, so Victoria does bear some responsibility. But for her to take the brunt of Malcolm’s rage like that…I was shocked. With that said, I’m not sure that Victoria is really ready to leave Emily and David alone, especially now that she knows David planned to kill her. I totally see Victoria manipulating Margaux (Karine Vanasse) to do her dirty work.
Finally, I guess I can’t really call Crazy Louise (Elena Satine) “crazy” anymore now that we know her mother and brother have been spiking her medication for years! Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Emily seem to like having Louise around…Nolan was willing to go to some great lengths to help Louise. They’re married! I don’t know what this means for their relationship, which feels closer to a friendship than romance. But you never know!
In tonight’s episode “Kindred”:
Emily assists Nolan’s bride, who has some skeletons in her closet. Meanwhile, Victoria keeps her eye on a new socialite. (via TV Guide)
Take a look at this clip from the show. In the video, we see Emily and David spending some time together. Apparently, Emily’s birthday just passed and David is determine to make up for lost time and maybe even help her regain her “Amanda” identity:
YIKES…someone is watching! Do you think it’s the private detective/potential mercenary gathering information for Margaux? *sigh* I do like Margaux, and I feel bad for her, but this won’t end well for her if she tries to go up against Emily. What do you think?
