Preview Suits season 4, episode 11 “Enough is Enough” with video and photo sneak peeks. The mid-season premiere airs tonight, January 28 at 10:00pm ET|PT on USA Network.
“Pearson. Specter. Litt.” And with those three words at the end of Suits‘ season 4 summer finale, Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) totally changed the game.
Ever since a 3-day binge-watching session in January 2013, I’ve adored Suits. Besides my general love of TV shows about lawyers and their adventures, (then and now) I enjoy watching Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), the pseudo-lawyer navigate New York City’s legal scene with the help of his mentor Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), Harvey’s sassy secretary Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty), and his girl-friend (now girlfriend, no hyphen) Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle). Actually, the Mike/Harvey bromance and Mike/Rachel romance are two of my favorite relationships on the show!
Unfortunately, the first half of season 4 definitely put those two relationships through the wringer. Mike (after leaving Pearson/Specter to become an investment banker) and Harvey faced off, as they were on opposing sides of a business merger/takeover. Mike and Rachel were also having difficulties when Logan Sanders (Brendan Hines, Rachel’s old fling and Harvey’s current client) showed up, interested in rekindling a relationship with her. And elsewhere, the firm was facing an SEC investigation, which Louis felt particularly responsible for fending off.
By the mid-season finale, Mike was back at Pearson/Specter (thanks to Louis) and the Mike/Harvey bromance was back in full effect. Mike and Rachel had decided to stick together, even though he was still having difficulty forgiving and forgetting her indiscretion. Meanwhile, Louis had discovered Mike’s secret about not being a Harvard-graduate, and planned to use his silence as a bargaining chip to get what he’s always wanted—name parter.
Like many of you, I feel so conflicted about Louis. Over and over again, he’s demonstrated that he can be an amazing friend. And truly, all Louis wants is Harvey’s (and to a certain extent, Mike’s) approval and respect. But at the same time, Louis can be vengeful and callous, especially when he believes someone has wronged him. And right now, he feels SUPER wronged by Harvey, Mike, Jessica (Gina Torres), and Donna. While I enjoy Louis and his love of opera, felines, and high-quality snacks, as we begin the second half of season 4, I’m very nervous about what he’ll do!
In tonight’s winter premiere, “Enough is Enough”:
Gabriel Macht directs the Season 4 mid-season premiere, which finds Louis gaining leverage in his quest to become a name partner of the firm; and the Pearson Specter team dealing with the fallout of Louis learning Mike’s secret. (via TV Guide)
It’s a new world order as Jessica tries to appease Louis, in the wake of his discovery of Mike’s secret. (via USA Network)
Take a look at this clip from tonight’s show—Harvey, trying to counsel Mike on the best way to deal with Louis’ threat, shares a story from his childhood:
Yah, Mike is going to have to do some serious groveling. In fact, it’ll be interesting to see what Jessica, Harvey, Donna, and maybe even Rachel offer Louis in order to keep their secret.
Speaking of Rachel, I really, REALLY hope my Mi-chel ship continues to sail. Those two are so sweet together, and I would hate to see Logan Sanders continue to come between them.
And lastly, I just have to say how much I love Jessica Pearson! Sure, she’s harsh, but she’s also a complete badass and fierce as hell. I’d follow Jessica into any battle, no questions asked. I’ve also liked seeing her develop a romantic relationship with Jeff Malone (D.B. Woodside)—I really hope it lasts.
