The TODAY Show shares the first full clip from Fifty Shades of Grey, featuring one of the most notable scenes from the novel–Christian Grey and Ana Steele meeting at Clayton’s Hardware Store.
Fellow Fifty Fans, we’re 11 days away from finally being able to see Fifty Shades of Grey on the big screen, and as the days go by I’m getting more and more excited! Of course, with promo in full effect, we’ve been getting trailers and TV spots, a behind-the-scenes look at Christian Grey’s apartment, along with news about the Fifty Shades official soundtrack.
Well earlier this morning, the Today Show, long-time supporters of the book series and upcoming film, shared an exclusive extended clip from Fifty Shades (which you can watch below). The scene features Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) coming to see Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson) while she’s working at Clayton’s Hardware Store. If you’ll recall from the novel, this scene takes place at the end of chapter two, after Ana has returned to Vancouver, WA from interviewing Christian in Seattle. Even though she’s in the midst of work and school, Ana just can’t seem to forget him…and Christian can’t forget her either:

“Rope, tape, cable ties. You’re the complete serial killer.” *FLAILS*
This scene is so perfectly done. Dakota totally embodies “Just Ana,” slightly awkward and unsure, intrigued by Christian, but unaware of how to relate to him. And it’s like Christian is trying to give Ana a glimpse into his predilections…I mean we all know the rope, tape, and cable ties won’t be used for redecorating. Soon enough they’ll be used on Ana!
What did you think of the clip?
In case you missed it, take a look at the Fifty Shades TV spot that aired during the Super Bowl yesterday:
“My playroom”
“Like your Xbox and stuff?”
I can’t…oh goodness, this is going to be great! I also enjoyed the slightly extended look at the HOT elevator kiss, which was interrupted by some businessmen.
