For February’s ‘4 Droughtlander’ STARZ shares a new teaser video for Outlander Season 1B with exclusive interviews with Ron Moore, Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, and more.
Happy ‘4 Droughtlander‘ Sassenachs! As promised STARZ has quite the treat for us this month with a new teaser video for Outlander Season 1B. The feature includes exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with Executive Producer Ron Moore and stars Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall Fraser), Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Tobias Menzies (Frank Randall/Black Jack Randall), Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie), and Laura Donnelly (Jenny Fraser Murray) who share what fans can expect from the second half of the season.
Tobias introduces the video from the Outlander set in Scotland (while dressed as BJR *shivers*), and both cast and creators comment on how the second half season 1 in more complex. We can expect to see the development of a new sense of honesty between Claire and Jamie and, unfortunately, the fruition of BJR’s dark plans for the couple. Season 1B also features political tensions as we see the rise of the Jacobites and growing conflict between Colum (Gary Lewis) and Dougal. And interspersed with the interviews are new scenes with Claire, Jamie, Laoghaire (Nell Hudson), Geillis (Lotte Verbeek), Jenny, and Ian Murray (Steven Cree). Check it out below:
WOW, it’s definitely clear that the stakes will be higher in the episodes to come. Of course we’ll have the joy of watching Claire and Jamie become closer and genuinely fall in love. But with that said, these two will be facing some serious obstacles that threaten to break them as individuals and as a couple (*cough*Wentworth Prison*cough*). I mean, just take a look at the sneak peek image we got yesterday (below)—it looks like Jamie and Claire trying to escape from the witch trial, don’t you think?

What are your thoughts about the video and what we can expect when Outlander returns on April 4? Let us know in comments!
Only one more ‘4 Droughtlander’ to go…
