Preview Suits season 4, episode 12 “Respect” with video and photo sneak peeks. The new episode airs Wednesday, February 4 at 10:00pm ET|PT on USA Network.
Last week’s mid-season premiere of Suits was all about Louis Litt’s (Rick Hoffman) revenge. Let me tell you, Louis was hostile, ragey, vindictive, and Rick Hoffman was brilliant!
The episode began with Harvey (Gabriel Macht) riding into the office to find out that Louis discovered Mike’s (Patrick J. Adams) secret and Jessica (Gina Torres) agreed to make him name partner. That same night, Louis confronted Mike at his apartment and promised to make the remainder of his time at Pearson/Specter(/Litt) so hellish that he would eventually resign—burying him under paperwork, treating him as a paralegal, etc. Mike attempted to apologize to Louis and remind him of their previous friendship, but Louis was having NONE of it.
At the same time, Louis ensured that Jessica and Harvey wouldn’t back out of the agreement to make him name partner by informing Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) and clients, ordering business cards, etc. And it worked! Louis got his name on the wall, Harvey gave a schmoopy speech talking about how Louis was an excellent attorney, and they even threw him a party! Of course Jessica used Louis’ ego against him by ensuring (in his partnership agreement) that if he did go to the police in the future, he would be going to jail as a co-conspirator. So Mike, Harvey, Donna (Sarah Rafferty), Jessica, Rachel (Meghan Markle), and now Louis are now truly all in this together.
Part of Louis’ plan involved making life difficult for Rachel, and he said some pretty horrible things about her being a lackey and not capable of anything more than being a paralegal. But in the end, Rachel got the last laugh by making sure Louis’ favorite associate Katrina (Amanda Schull) would be out of his reach and working for her father’s firm.
Donna spent the show trying to make amends to Louis, which he fervently resisted…until the end where she promised to never lie to him again and admitted to sleeping with Harvey as a peace offering (I definitely want to hear that story!).
Would Louis have really gone to the police? I’m not sure…as I mentioned last week, it seems to me that all he’s ever wanted is to be respected by Harvey (and Mike) and perhaps even be viewed as a friend. By the end of the episode, Louis seems to have hitched his wagon to the rest of the team and on his way to forgiving Donna. Like Jessica said, a new name means a new beginning, so maybe Louis will take advantage of it. Thoughts?
In tonight’s episode “Respect”:
Harvard ethics professor Henry Gerard seeks Harvey’s help with a case that requires a lack of ethics to win. Mike, meanwhile, does his best to not be spotted by the professor, whose class he never took; and Louis tries to wine and dine a socialite CEO. (via TV Guide)
Check out this sneak peek from “Respect”…it looks like Jessica doesn’t plan to make things too easy for Louis after all:
