Jeremy Gilbert is leaving on tonight’s episode of The Vampire Diaries airing on The CW at 8 PM (ET/PT). Get your sneak peek into the episode with videos and pictures.
A week has passed since The Vampire Diaries, Season 6, Episode 13: “The Day I Tried to Live,” and I’m still weeping. Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) celebrated her birthday alone in the alternate universe and could no longer take the loneliness and decided to follow through with the suicide pact she made with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). She busted out the oldest bottle of Bourbon in the 1994 Salvatore mansion and began to drink and reminiscent of her time with Damon. As a Bamon shipper, this scene even though it made me bawl, a part of me was chair dancing because it made me remember that Bonnie and Damon bonded in the alternate universe. But more importantly, Kat Graham truly shined in this episode. Her emotions were truly felt from the viewers of the show. There was tweet after tweet regarding how the Bonnie scenes made folks weepy, hot messes.
A surprise occurred in “The Day I Tried to Live,” when a now empathy-filled Kai (Chris Wood), due to his merge with Luke (Chris Brochu) was manipulated by Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon into using his now all powerful magic into getting a message to Bonnie. The message was a lead on how to get herself out of the alternate universe. Kai, Elena, Damon, and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) see that Bonnie is planning to kill herself. Plans were set in motion for Kai to take Jeremy back to the alternate universe to relay the message to Bonnie to go to Nova Scotia and siphon magic from the rock filled with Silas’ blood. Too bad raged-filled Liv (Penelope Mitchell) came and almost ruined the plan by throwing a few utensils into Kai’s body. Thankfully, in the end, as Bonnie made the decision to live while trying to pull herself out of the garaged filled with carbon monoxide fumes, Jeremy was able to harness enough energy to open the garage door and save Bonnie’s life.
Meanwhile, in other parts of Mystic Falls, VA, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) were trying to rescue Ms. Cuddles and a little further south Enzo (Michael Malarkey) was still participating in his horrendous hobby of trying to ruin Stefan’s life. The only thing that was of any significance in Enzo’s dumb hobby was Matt (Zach Roerig) and Sarah Salvatore (Tristin Mays) met and now I ship them HARD!!!
Tonight we say farewell to Jeremy Gilbert in The Vampire Diaries, Season 6, Episode 14: “Stay.” Episode 14 was directed by Chris Grismer and written by (my favorite TVD writer) Brian Young and Caroline Dries. In “Stay”:
Goodbye, Mystic Falls– It’s Jeremy’s last day in Mystic Falls and Elena puts on a brave face as they reminisce about their past. Stefan and Caroline find themselves growing closer as they prepare Caroline’s family cabin for her mother to live out her final days. While packing up her office, Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) turns to Damon for help solving one of her remaining open cases involving Elena’s parents. Elsewhere, when a violent confrontation with Enzo leaves Jeremy wondering whether he should leave or not, Matt finds his own life on the line after Enzo lures him and Sarah Salvatore into his dangerous plan. Lastly, Caroline rushes to the hospital after learning her mother has taken a turn for the worse. (via The CW Press)
Are you ready for ALL THE FEELS?! Let’s get a further look into Episode 14, “Stay” with an inside look from Executive Producers Caroline Dries and Julie Plec. Sheriff Forbes is trying to clear all her unsolved cases before she passes and Damon is helping her. The one case that has been bothering Liz for years is the car crash involving Grayson and Miranda Gilbert. She wonders was there something more to their accidental deaths? Also, they give us a peek into Jeremy’s last day in Mystic Falls, VA. Now bring out your tissues because a farewell to Jeremy Gilbert trailer has been made. We get to see Jeremy go from pot head to hot boy with a crossbow.
Now let’s praise all Steroline shipper gods while we look over the promotional images from tonight’s episode of The Vampire Diaries. We see some sadness with farewell scenes between Alaric and Jeremy, what appears to be Caroline sitting on her mother’s hospital bed, to Caroline and Stefan getting closer. Based on the images I know I’ll be mess while I watch “Stay.”
Remember to tune into The Vampire Diaries, “Stay” airing on The CW at 8PM ET/PT and 7PM Central to say farewell to Jeremy Gilbert and join me over on twitter while I live tweeting the episode while we watch.
