Mekhi Phifer discusses The Divergent Series: Insurgent in a new interview with the TODAY Show. We also get a new sneak peek of the film featuring Max, Eric, and Johanna.
I know we Initiates are all counting down to March 20 and finally being able to see The Divergent Series: Insurgent in theaters. And as we get closer to the release date we’re sure to get more cast interviews and teaser clips from the movie. Earlier this week, Lionsgate shared the final Insurgent trailer and we got glimpses of several new scenes from the film. Well, yesterday (February 26), Mekhi Phifer stopped by the TODAY Show to discuss Insurgent and share a new clip from the film!
The interview (which you can watch below) kicks off with the movie clip: Max (Mekhi Phifer) and Eric (Jai Courtney) have arrived at Amity to talk to Johanna (Octavia Spencer, Amity’s spokesperson). They’re looking for divergents and would like Amity members to volunteer for testing. As you’ll see, Johanna is not pleased about Max and Eric’s request. In the actual interview, Mekhi talks about how much fun he’s having playing a bad guy and being part of the Divergent series:

I definitely agree with Mekhi about Divergent‘s broad appeal and really love the diversity of the cast and characters.
