Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back with its mid-season premiere titled, “Aftershocks,” airing tonight on ABC at 9 PM (ET/PT).
Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been on winter hiatus for almost three months and the TV series has surely been missed. When we left Part A of Season 2 of Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., Skye (Chloe Bennet) came face-to-face with her father, “The Doctor” (Kyle MacLachlan). He offered her apologies for not being in her life and let her in on a secret that her mother comes from a line of people with a gift. The Doctor left Skye because he was searching for Daniel Whitehall (Reed Diamond) to exact revenge for killing Skye’s mother. In the end, The Doctor doesn’t get his revenge because Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) kills Whitehall when he pulls a gun on The Doctor.
We also learned that Bobbi Morse (Adrianne Palicki) and Alphonso ‘Mac’ Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) have some secrets and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) isn’t sure he can trust his ex-wife and now partner. But the moment that broke all hearts is when Antoine ‘Trip’ Triplett (B.J. Britt) sacrificed himself when the power of Obelisk began to petrify Raina (Ruth Negga) and Skye. This moment also left us wondering what are Raina and Skye now since Obelisk’s power has infused with them.
Tonight on the season 2, mid-season premiere of Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., episode 11, “Aftershocks,” directed by Bill Gierhart:
Coulson’s team must deal with the consequences of their war with Hydra as shocking revelations threaten to tear them apart, and Hydra makes a dangerous move that may involve a traitor in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s midst. (via ABC)
In the below sneak peek into “Aftershocks” we see that Sunil Bakshi (Simon Kassianides) is captured and Coulson is working with the U.S. Government and Brigadier General Glenn Talbot (Adrian Pasdar). Coulson enlists the help of Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) to deliver Bakshi to Talbot only to encounter a surprise.
Will the three survive this accident, will Bakshi with the knowledge that Whitehall is dead use the accident to make a run for it? We will hopefully find out tonight.
