Emily continues to fend off Margaux’s quest for vengeance in tonight’s new Revenge! Get a preview of “Bait,”airing at 10:01pm ET|PT on ABC.
Revenge returns tonight after a seven week hiatus and, from the look of these sneak peeks, things are about to get even more scandalous and dramatic!
The last time we were in the Hamptons (“Kindred“), David (James Tupper), Ben (Brian Hallisay), and Jack (Nick Wechsler) had rescued Emily (Emily VanCamp) and Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) from Malcolm Black (Tommy Flanagan). Meanwhile, Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Crazy Louise (Elena Satine) had gotten married (to liberate Louise from her mother, Penelope’s, influence) and Emily was planning a reception to celebrate.
Victoria was trying to raise money for the Daniel Grayson Foundation, yet Margaux (Karine Vanasse) thought it was all a farce. She wanted to expose Emily’s lies and clear Daniel’s name, and no one would stop her. Margaux hired a private investigator who was now following Emily and trying to drum up some scandal…in this case, publishing an article that said Emily and David were secret lovers. Emily went see Margaux who promised to stop publishing the gossip in exchange for Emily keeping the secrets she knew about Pascal LeMarchal.
Louise’s brother Lyman (Sebastian Pigott) arrived in the Hamptons bearing with police report about the night their father died…and according to the report, it was Louise who pushed her father down the stairs and killed him. Unless she agreed to annul her new marriage and restore her Penelope’s (Carolyn Hennesy) conservatorship, their mother would reveal the truth at the reception. Louise went to Nolan for his help, who turned to his bestie. After Emily’s Japanese/Jedi-mindtrick with a knife and Nolan’s investigatory skills, Louise remembered what really happened the night of her father’s death. It was Penelope who pushed him down the stairs, manipulated Louise into believing she did it, and had Judge Miller (who was also her lover) bury the real police report. Louise exposed her mother’s lies at the reception and cut off Lyman and his campaign.
Elsewhere, Victoria met some obstacles when trying to raise money for the Daniel Grayson Foundation…perhaps his bad reputation would get in the way of this work. Specifically, those obstacles came in the form of the new Queen Bee, Natalie Waters (Gina Torres). What did Natalie want? Besides demonstrating her ability to influence the real housewives of the Hamptons, we’re still unsure.
Finally, David was encouraging Emily to reclaim her Amanda identity, yet she was hesitant. Interestingly, Emily turned to Ben for his advice about how to let go of her “Emily” persona. Did she really need to go back? Ben responded with some seriously swoony words about not wanting to imagine a world without Emily Thorne 🙂 After some reflection, Emily told her father that she was happy as is. *sidenote* I really hope we can trust Ben now that he knows the truth.
By the end of the episode, Victoria received a phone call that there had been a death in the family; Margaux had video of Jack and Emily talking about killing Kate; and Emily and Ben had their first kiss while Jack looked on (probably jealous).
In tonight’s episode “Bait,” written by Shannon Goss, directed by Ty Trullinger, and guest-starring Gina Torres as Natalie Waters and Sebastian Pigott as Lyman Ellis:
EMILY SEES MARGAUX’S TRUE COLORS—When Margaux uses her ammunition against both Emily and Jack, their friendship takes a dramatic turn. Meanwhile, Natalie shows Victoria the true reason behind her arrival in the Hamptons. (via ABC)
Thanks to TVLine, we can have a sneak peek of the upcoming show. Click on the image below to go watch the video which shows Emily attempting to break into LeMarchal Media (like the badass super-secret agent she is) while Nolan gives her instructions. Unfortunately, Emily might not be as stealthy as she thinks.
Take look at photo stills from “Bait” which give us glimpses of Margaux planning her revenge and Victoria going head to head with Natalie. Tune into ABC at 10:01pm ET|PT when the new Revenge airs and come live tweet with me while we watch!
