Relativity Studios releases the official U.S. trailer for Big Game, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ray Stevenson. This film premieres June 26, 2015.
This past weekend we in the U.S. sprang forward, and while losing the an hour might be a hassle at first, it means that spring and summer are coming! Besides getting to enjoy warmer weather, one of the best things about summertime is all the awesome movies we can expect, especially action/adventure films! We’re already looking forward to one highly-anticipated Samuel L. Jackson film in May, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron (YES YES YES), but Mr. Jackson has another moving coming out this summer that should definitely be on your radar.
Big Game (from Relativity Studios) is directed by Jalmari Helander and according to the official synopsis:
In the rugged countryside of Finland, a young thirteen-year-old (Onni Tommila) embarks on a traditional quest to prove himself by spending 24 hours alone in the wild, armed with only a bow and arrow. After witnessing a spectacular crash, he discovers the escape pod from Air Force One, containing the President of the United States (Samuel L. Jackson). When they realize a group of kidnappers is hot on their trail with the intention of taking the president, this unlikely duo must escape their hunters as they search for the American Special Forces team sent out to find them.
Sam Jackson and Onni Tommila are joined by Ray Stevenson (Divergent, Thor), Victor Garber (Titanic, Argo), Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives), and Jim Broadbent (Harry Potter series, Gangs of New York) in an all-star cast.
Check out the official trailer below, where we get scenes of Air Force One being taken down, the Secret Service promising to find the President, and a fierce little boy helping POTUS escape his hunters:
First, I LOVE the idea of Sam Jackson as a badass President of the U.S., but this young boy might out-badass Mr. Jackson! And is it a good or bad thing that I already despise Ray Stevenson’s character??? The betrayal!
Big Game premieres in select theaters and on Digital HD and On Demand on June 26, 2015.
