Listen to “Making Today a Perfect Day,” new song from Frozen short film, Frozen Fever, which hits theaters today (March 13) ahead of Disney’s Cinderella. Disney also confirms that Frozen 2 is officially in development.
Happy Friday! Sure it’s Friday the 13th, but today (MARCH 13) is special for another reason—Disney’s live-action Cinderella is officially in theaters! I’ve been really excited about seeing Kenneth Branagh‘s rendition of this classic tale.
But in addition, Disney’s Frozen short, Frozen Fever also comes out today and will play ahead of Cinderella! A couple weeks ago, the official trailer from the short film was released and we heard a little bit of a new song…something about a perfect day…
Well yesterday, Disney shared the full song, aptly titled “Making Today a Perfect Day.” Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Kristen Bell (Anna) perform the song—listen below:
As expected, “Making Today a Perfect Day” is sweet and funny and catchy! What do you think? (For a look at the full lyrics, you can head over to Hypable.)
This project reunited the Frozen team: Frozen Fever was directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, while “Making Today a Perfect Day” was written by the Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

As if this isn’t enough to keep Frozen fans happy, yesterday, Walt Disney Animationconfirmed that Frozen 2 (a full-length film) is now in development! According to Variety:
The company revealed plans during the Walt Disney Co.’s annual shareholders meeting on Thursday from San Francisco.
The first film’s directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are developing the project with producer Peter Del Vecho for Walt Disney Animation Studios, which took home the Oscar for animated feature for the film.
A release date and production details are yet to be announced.
John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, made the announcement with Disney chief Bob Iger, and Josh Gad, who voices the character of Olaf in “Frozen.”
Jennifer Lee, one-half of the Frozen writing/directing team, and Kristen Bell also shared their excitement via twitter:
