Spike TV‘s Tut, coming summer 2015, began production in the fall of 2014 in Morocco. Tut is the biggest and most ambitious project to date for Spike TV and reveals for the first time on television, the story of the youngest ruling Pharaoh, King Tutankhamun (Avan Jogia). Leading the helm of this stellar cast is Academy Award Winner Sir Ben Kingsley. Sir Kingsley portrays Ay, the Grand Vizier to King Tutankhamun. Ay, the top adviser to the young Egyptian ruler wields great influence and is the true power behind King Tutankhamun. Joining Sir Kingsley is rising star Avan Jogia (Twisted, Ten Thousand Saints). Jogia, one of Hollywood’s emerging young actors, will play the young Egyptian rule, King Tutankhamun.
The below teaser, for the upcoming 3-night event series Tut, begins with Sir Kingsley providing advice as Ay to King Tutankhamun, along with Ankhe (Sibylla Deen) letting Suhad (Kylie Bunbury), Tutankhamun lover, know that Tutankhamun may love Suhad, but she is his Queen. Closing with Ay’s words of wisdom stating, “Fate is not what you are given, it is what you take!”
