Season 1 of Empire is coming to a close, get your preview into the 2-hour season finale airing TONIGHT on FOX at 8/7c.
It’s been a crazy and wonderful ride for the first season of Empire and its coming to a close this evening with a two-hour season finale airing on FOX beginning at 8 PM (ET/PT). But let’s take a quit peek into last week’s episode 10, “Sins of the Father.” In episode 10, Lucious (Terrence Howard) shocked all the Lyons when he admitted that he was actually Lola’s (Leah Jeffries) father and not Jamal (Jussie Smollett). What?! One could see the love and respect that Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) had for his father leave his soul when this truth was revealed. Now, not only did Lucious finally admit to one of his many betrayals, he also ran Hakeem’s girlfriend Camilla (Naomi Campbell) old of town. So dirty! However, as a Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) stan, my glorious moment occurred when Cookie looked to Malcolm (Derek Luke) for comfort from the woes of the Lyon family drama.
Tonight on the Empire season one finale, “Die But Once/Who I Am,” there are guest stars a plenty: Snoop Dogg as Himself, Jennifer Hudson as Michelle, Rita Ora as Herself, Juicy J/Jordan Houston as Himself, Patti Labelle as Herself, Charles Hamilton as Himself, Gabourey Sidibe as Becky, Ta’Rhonda Jones as Porsha, Jim Beanz/James Washington as Titan, Serayah as Tiana, Derek Luke as Malcolm, Eka Darville as Ryan, and Judd Nelson as Billy.
“Die But Once” was directed by Mario Van Peebles and written by Ilene Chaiken, Lee Daniels, and Danny Strong. “Who I Am” was directed by Debbie Allen and written by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong. In the two-hour season finale:
Jamal and Lucious are on their way to forming a music-centered relationship, but once again, Lucious has a secret that’s about to change everything. Hakeem decides to flirt with the enemy, while trying to figure out what the best move is for his career. Meanwhile, Cookie is cooking up a plan of her own. (via FOX)
This all sounds juicy, but the question on everyone’s mind is “Who will take the crown?”
Now let’s get a further sneak peek into the season finale with a first look from cast members Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Trai Byers, and Jussie Smollett where they talk about the Lyon family drama, Cookie’s secret, and Lucious’ big play.
